Thumbs up!

Wonderful people I dealt with and nothing short of amazing. They were super responsive and walked me through the process from beginning to end. Their pricing is almost too low for the level of service delivery you get.

Still waiting for a refund six months later

We decided not to use this company. Their website states that they have a 72 hour cancellation with refund. We canceled three months prior to the actual move. To this day six months later we still have not received a $3600 refund. They keep giving us a runaround about our refund. Now they say we do not qualify for a refund. I don’t understand why they will not give me a refund when we never used any services from this company. I really hope eventually they’ll give us a refund. I will continue to try to contact the company.

Never use this company! Worse experience ever.

This company does not move your furniture, rather hires a moving company to do it. The company they hired (MOVE IN & OUT RELOCATION LLC) completely scammed us overcharging the space they claimed to use for more than double. When we complained and asked for help with North American Moving Experts, they completely ignored our claims and washed their hands saying that the contract says all claims must be dealt with the moving company directly.

In any case, the company told us they would deliver on September 1st (first available date), while the driver got 2 days earlier and threatened to charge 1000 dlls for redelivery fees for every night he had to wait. My wife and I had to drive 26 hours with hardly any stop from Massachussetts to Texas in order to avoid being overcharged. The company instead of having our back and honoring the agreement we made for September 1st, allowed the moving company to extort us.
On top of that, NORTH AMERICAN MOVING EXPERTS LLC wrote the address wrong and the pick up date wrong. Both of which I could forgive if it were not for the extremely unhelpful and treacherous customer service where only less than half of the people who answer the phone are actually willing to help you (I know this after calling a couple of dozen times).

Beware - don’t use this company

I scheduled a live from Connecticut to Maine and was told by the representative verbally that the goods would be delivered same day (approx. 180 mile move). When the local movers arrived they said they were not required to deliver same day and because it would be an evening delivery ( they didn’t arrive until 3pm) it would cost extra. I was charged $1300 for same day delivery and told I could submit a claim to be reimbursed. When I emailed for the reimbursement I was told that the contract stated they did not have to deliver for 21 days and they would not do anything for me. I have moved many times in my life and this was the most unprofessional moving company I have ever worked with.

SCAMMING JOKE

SCAMMING JOKE, DISHONEST, RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, and IGNORING. FYI, they also go by the address of 22555 Greenfield Rd, Southfield, MI 48075 or 10973 S Us Highway 1 PORT ST LUCIE FL 34952. Do NOT confuse it with the reputable North American Van Lines, which was the costly mistake I made. This is a brokerage company for moving services, not actual movers. They contract with scamming companies, namely All Year Moving and Storage Inc in my case. Unfortunately, when searching for a moving company, this one is sponsored so it popped up first to collect my contact info, and over the next 2 days, several employees hounded me for my business. The reps pretended to be accessible 24/7 via calls, emails, and texting, but after I paid my first deposit, I did not hear from them until TWO days before my moving day to take a final inventory, which meant an additional $4,000 was owed because the original inventory count was substantially underestimated. This gave me no time to sell my furniture to reduce the cost so I rushed to give away hundreds of dollars of items. A random new rep, Anna Harris, was then assigned to the case, and she was distracted with texting while on the phone with me; when called out on it, she was offended. Then I desperately called, texted, and emailed her over the final 2 days before moving, but she ignored me until it was time to collect the second/last deposit. After that, this company wants NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU as they ignored all forms of communication as I was now the problem of the contracted moving company. They never explained the vital terms of the contract, which caused me to suffer when dealing with All Year Moving and Storage Inc. It has been 23 days, and my stuff has not even left the city I came from. Living out of my suitcase and having to repurchase a lot of things has been frustrating and costly. Please heed from my horrific experience from h*ll.

Stolen Dresser and No Help from NA Movers

My long distance move quote increased 3x the day they loaded our belongings on the truck. It went from $3500 to $7100. The truck our things were loaded into was not the truck that arrived on the other end. NA movers brokered two different moving companies to facilitate our move without disclosing that fact until after they had our things in their possession. The pick up was well handled but the delivery was an absolute nightmare. There was no moving crew to offload and place at our delivery address and they “lost” an entire dresser full of clothing. The man that delivered our truck had a house arrest ankle bracelet on and showed up with his wife who was not an employee of the company to deliver our things and refused to put them in the house, he stacked everything in our garage. When we reported our missing dresser and terrible delivery experience, NA movers said they’re weren’t responsible and to contact the company that delivered who has never once answered a call. I’m in disbelief that companies get away with steeling and taking advantage of people this way.

Worst moving experience ever

Worst moving experience ever. They doubled the cost two days before pickup. Moving truck broke down and was stranded in North Carolina for over a week and van was parked on a public road unattended for the time. They promised to deliver my items in 3 to 5 days after pickup. They did not come cost to making that timeframe. I actually ended up renting a U-Haul and meeting the movers to retrieve my items in N.C. (The delivery location was supposed to be in Kansas). The movers would not release my items until I paid the delivery cost. Save yourself valuable time and money by not using this company. You have been warned.

They basically sub contracted my move

They basically sub contracted my move, without telling me, to Best for you moving llc. I got charged nearly double of what the quote was and they lied about the cubic footage. So they could charged more. I paid North American to basically put me in hands Russian scammers. Then they gave me a website for disputes....that company is a scam too. Go with pods and hire someone to load is your best option. Any company that doesn't accept credit cards is questionable. Because you then have recourse when they try to extort money from you. Never deal with any of these companies.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!! If i could give negative stars I would. This company is a total scam. My moving cost more than doubled 2 days before my move and then took 2 weeks longer than their original delivery date. And they “lost” a very valuable granite table top and have not responded to my messages about it. The first person you speak to will be friendly and will give you a reasonable estimate, that will not be honored. The “customer service” people you will speak with going forward are rude and actually threatened to hold my furniture hostage. I cannot not express full my utter frustration with the whole experience and the tears that I cried over the whole experience. Please do yourself a favor and find another company.

NIGHTMARE: RUN!

Company: North American Moving Experts, LLC
This moving company has been a complete NIGHTMARE to deal with! I initially hired them to move items from my 1200 square-foot two-bedroom condo, along with a small storage unit. My initial estimate was $4,500, and to avoid any hidden charges, I even provided them with a video walkthrough of my condo. The broker even gave me a firm assurance, saying, “There won't be any surprises." However, my experience has been a terrifying rollercoaster of unpleasant shocks.

The movers arrived, and to my surprise, they were unable to fit all my items into their truck. Consequently, I had to leave some belongings behind. Then they dropped a bombshell: the move was going to cost more than twice the initial quote. Feeling cornered, I had to cough up an additional $5700 immediately! I had already sold my condo and had no other option but to move out.

Moreover, I was initially told by the broker that my items were the sole cargo in their truck headed to California, and the delivery would take 7-10 days. To my dismay, I am now stranded halfway across the country, informed that they have 30 days to deliver my items, which are sitting in a warehouse in Illinois! This situation is causing an accumulation of losses, and I'm left wondering where I'm supposed to stay for an entire month.

This company will say anything to coax you into booking a move with them and secure your deposit. As of now, I am still without my belongings and have already spent over $8,000! I've had numerous fruitless discussions with their so-called customer service reps, whose only solution seems to be extracting more and more money from me! Adding insult to injury, I have been informed that there will be more charges upon delivery. If you refuse to pay, they won't unload your stuff. If you're considering this company for your move, I have only one piece of advice: RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!!

Complete and utter scam- out thousands

First note - a lot of the 5 star reviews are fake- horrible English.

So much transpired with this HORRIBLE moving company I don't even know where to began. A move that should have been 2 weeks was 2 months & 2 days. The broker lowballed the volume of my items, therefore I paid almost another $2K when the truck arrived. I waited so long for my items and incurred thousands of dollars of extra expense with that alone.

Their customer service has some of the most horrible human beings that I have ever interacted with in my life, truly. They will be kind until they have your deposit, then it is all downhill from there.

Biggest piece of advice - NEVER USE A BROKER. But this one is truly trash.

Absolutely Terrible

Absolutely Terrible. Overpriced. DO NOT USE

I am not the type of person to write a bad review but this company was so bad that I felt the need to warn others. They will tell you anything to make you sign a contract and do not follow through the pre negotiated terms. If you have any "Bulky items" they will charge you an additional $150 per item once the movers show up even if the item had already been specifically discussed and listed on the moving sheet. Far better off getting a U-haul and moving your self.

These guys were brilliant!

The crew came promptly and hustled! Everything made it to the new location safe and without any damage and everything was handled with great care! I have never seen a more professional set of guys who were reliable during the move! By far the best moving company in the Area!

Don't use this company!

This company tells you what you want to hear to get you to sign the contract and doesn't follow through. Picked up my daughter's belongings a day late and at 10:00pm. Subcontracts the move even though we were assured it was all done in house. Subcontractor demanded money on top of what we paid NA Moving Experts or they wouldn't take the belongings. Have you trapped bc its 10:00 at night and her flight across the country was at 6:00 am the next day. Assured us it would be 4-7 days for her things to arrive and we are at day 12 with no updates. No one will answer calls, emails or texts. Customer service hung up on us. We also were told by subcontractor we have to pay more money upon delivery or they wouldn't release her belongings.

Expect to be confused and monetarily screwed using this company.

My father hired this company

My father hired this company. They gave him the estimate and after everything a total price. He paid, then company contracted out of Denver, CO. Total he owed was $2900 and ended up spying over $6000 to even be able to get his items back. Do not trust this company and we are in contact with LE and will be filing Law Suit on company. We have tried to reach out to them but no return calls as well. In contract it states there will be no extra costs.

DON’T USE THIS COMPANY!!

DON’T USE THIS COMPANY!!! They will tell you that you owe a certain amount, but it WILL be higher on the day of your move. I moved from Nashville to Los Angeles. I called them in December or January for an April move. I gave them an accurate description of what I was bringing. I was told by a customer service operator, Casey, that it would be $1,800 and some change. I asked several times about the amount, and it never changed. A couple of days before the move, I was contacted by Anna, another representative. She told me that it would be $3,700. I was in disbelief. She gave me a discount and quoted me $2,900. On the day of the move, the movers came into the house and took only a video of the stuff and was told I’d get a call for yet another amount assessment. Two hours later, I got a call from their boss who told me it would be over $5,000. I was also told over the phone that I could pay with Venmo or Cash App on the day of move out. Then, on the day of move out, I was told that I couldn’t pay with Venmo or Cash App- that it could only be paid with certified funds. This company will try to con you into working with them by telling you a smaller amount at first, then they’ll raise it. Go with another company. No matter what movers are expensive, especially across the country. This company is not honest, they don’t know what they’re talking about, and they’re rude.

Price increased by double after most of…

Price increased by double after most of my things were on the truck. At that point my choices were to pay more or have my stuff left in the middle of the road. I was told I could file a claim for over charging once delivery was made but the insurance companies don’t handle over charging. Either the sales rep under estimated or the mover lied. I actually had fewer items then I originally told the rep (I had 10 fewer medium boxes and didn’t move 2 dressers and a full size bed and mattress).
