Exceedingly disappointing DEEP clean - lack of professional standards, poor attitude
Paid hundreds for a "deep clean" that was neither deep nor clean
I hired this company for a deep clean of my 2000 sq ft property. Three cleaners arrived and finished in just 3.5 hours. Here's what they missed:
Did not clean the fridge or freezer
Left shower valves covered in limescale
Did not touch the bathroom medicine cabinet
Left crumbs in drawers
Left a sink full of dirty water
Did not clean behind the kitchen tap
Left streaky kitchen work surfaces
For context: a previous cleaner spent 10 hours doing a basic clean on my 700 sq ft flat. These three cleaners spent 3.5 hours each on a property nearly three times the size—that's 10.5 total hours for what should have been a much more thorough job.
Communication was poor. I provided my phone number for questions but received no call when they finished. On my doorbell camera, I can hear them saying "what did he say to do with the keys? Just leave them there" before leaving without contacting me. I had to call them 90 minutes later to find out they'd left.
The cleaners seemed rushed. The first cleaner walked straight past me into the kitchen without invitation and showed no interest in a tour of the property.
The owner's response was defensive. When I raised these issues, rather than apologizing, they offered either a discount or for the cleaners to return the next day (which they emphasized would be at great personal expense as it would ruin their weekend plans). I didn't trust them to complete the job properly, so accepted a discount of £156—bringing the price down to £390.
When I asked if they could do better on the discount, the owner became angry, so I accepted what was offered.
I'll now have to spend hours cleaning the property myself after paying £390 for work that wasn't done properly.
Save your money and avoid this company. They lack standards and don't take pride in their work. You'll end up doing the work yourself and still be out of pocket.
