So glad I found the help I’ve needed in years

Dr. Kamila Hader did a really good job in guiding the conversation towards the relevant issues and getting me out of my long monologues. It was great that she managed to get me to open up in the first place. She was inquisitive, focused, and compassionate. Everything that I was looking for.

I was recently diagnosed with ADHD by MyPace and the experience with was not bad till we got to the titration stage. They have great reviews online, so to be fair perhaps I just don’t fit into the majority of the people who have had smooth experience with meds, and therefore struggled a lot with MyPace.
As you can clearly see on their website, they break down every step of the diagnosis and treatment process, and charge a new fee when you decide to move forward to the next stage. It’s a fair model and that’s why I like it.
And things were fine at the beginning- my doctors seem professional and helpful. Customer support was responsive on the email.
It seemed however once I became a patient under treatment, the process started to be very rigid and inhumane. As a patient, I feel very vulnerable especially when the condition impacts my mental health and every day routines.
I had lots of side effects when I started my medication that hit me strong and were concerning. These are typically side effects such as increase heart rates, insomnia, increased blood pressure, and also very strong mood swings when I was out of medication. MyPace’s titration process states that you submit a weekly form with the latest measurements of blood pressure & pulse & self reported mood. Their titration team do come back quickly after my submission- with standard responses, reassuring me that the side effects will go away.
However in week 4 they remain strong, to a point I was doubting if this is the right medication for me. I raised the concerns via the form to say I want to continue the titration, (and I respect that I had to pay another £140 to continue - which doesn’t include the £100-£140 cost for the medication itself), but I need to speak to a psychiatrist to talk about if this really is the right type of meds for me. Not just the right dosage, but there are many types of meds that one can choose. We have tried to resolve it on the written forms, but often I get robotic replies (eg this is normal) and my follow up questions are sometimes missed. For someone with AdHD, this process seems to have been designed to make it harder for me to get to MyPace doctors, not easier.
The whole point of the titration process - as I understand it - is to find the right treatment for each patient. We all function differently, and therefore I pay MyPace to run this process and I pay more when the process takes longer. Fair.
However MyPace kept ignoring/ delaying my requests in the 2nd month of titration to speak to an actual doctor.
They said that the offshore support team tried to call which I missed (and they won’t give you a number to call back probably because they are not UK based), and most importantly I don’t need another person to offer no real alternative solutions, after I paid more to continue the process of figuring out the right treatment for me. Otherwise what’s the point of titration??
And MyPace knows that for a patient to switch to another clinic at this point it will be expensive. I am pretty much locked in, unless I am happy to invest more time and money to switch to another clinic.
The ADHD journey itself is draining by nature- and it hasn’t been helped by the difficulty to reach an actual doctor in the last 2 months. It would seem (from the outside) that the psychiatrists are all busy diagnosing people, so MyPace can make more profit later on from the treatment which can get lengthy and complicated quickly for some.
I have tried hard to communicate the above with their support team and still had no resolutions, so want to share my experience with people who are considering MyPace to have a real view of how it is once you become reliant on their help to get better

It was fast, straighforward and effective service, for a much better price than competitors. So far I only have good experience with them.

I can’t rate this company enough. Very quick to get booked in. I had my adult ADHD Assessment yesterday with Dr Roshan Jain. He really was fantastic. I was very overwhelmed and anxious but he soon made me feel relaxed and at ease to complete my Assessment. Highly recommended MyPace. The aftercare support I’ve received so far has been brilliant. Thanks again.

Was told what the assessment was about before it started.
Pychiatrist was very understanding and let me speak a lot even though sometimes it felt like I was rambling. Very informative and a great experience.

Ive had a very good experience with mypace so far, the doctors have been very accommodating and they have ensured i have got everything in a timely manner, my one recommendation would be making the weekly titration reports more easily accessed as i spent a considerable amount of time today trying to find it for my weekly report

The doctor was brilliant , it was a relief to get an answer as to why I am the way I am. Unfortunately the experience went down hill from there . One of the reports you have to send in is an informant report , they said it was missing which was odd as I thought I had sent it in , I ended up having my daughter do another one and sent that in. That was back around 22nd December. It’s now the 10th January and after chasing them for my diagnosis report for days they have now said they still haven’t got it. I tried to call but no answer , and they take days to come back on email . I really wanted to give a glowing review but unfortunately it’s been a bit of a disappointment

Another smooth and efficient experience.
I had my initial diagnosis of ADHD from Dr Haider last year and had a superb experience with the entire team, Belle, Dr Haider and Adam were excellent.
This time I needed to change medications and I spoke with Dr Haider who was always brilliant and helped me with my issue; Belle was absolutely instrumental in so many ways in making this clinic being among the best customer service experience I have ever had. Every query I sent was responded to quickly and conscientiously and just from a logistical point of view, everything has exceeded any expectations I had.
My partner and I work in healthcare and we're both very impressed with MyPace and I would recommend this clinic to anyone. My only suggestion for improvement would be more non-pharmacological treatment resources being made accessible to patients as I think this is important and hard to find practical advice in managing ADHD alongside medication.
If you are researching clinics at the moment and deciding where to go, please do consider MyPace at the forefront. I cannot rate the service and care I've experienced with Belle B and Dr Haider highly enough.

Horrific Service. Doctor frequently yawned in my assessment and it has been 4 weeks since my meeting and I still have not received my report despite being promised it by 2 separate dates.
Do not use this service!

My particular therapist from this time and last was incredibly helpful and understanding which is why I have remained with MyPace. The cost of the 6 month reviews are very difficult tho as long term this is expensive and becoming unmanageable so I'll likely have to leave soon and I am unsure how this will affect me and my shared care.
