We are in 2026 and they developed an app (MyGov.be app) for citizens to login in public services that doesn't work if you don't open a Google or Apple account.
Crazy! and we want to be independent from the American corporations?
Why France or Germany have the same kind of app that works perfectly without any Google Play Services dependencies and we can rely without any problem? Did Belgium developers feel lazy and prefer to code using Google libraries? Really?
Thanks for excluding us! We are citizens that care about not to be tied to American companies. Learn from other countries and do your job as a professional developer. I will be glad to point you what Austria, France or Germany did for login apps in public services.
