Recommendation for Davyda Hill

I'm an experienced driver but I was finding it difficult to pass the test. I failed twice, but then I met Davyda Hill. I couldn't have passed the test without her help. She was very professional and the way she guided me really helped me in the test. I thought I knew my way around the bigger roundabouts, but she sensed that I needed practice. I didn't even realize how important that was until I had to do it in the test. I highly recommend her

Great instructor , Greg Hall, passed first time 😁

My son has passed his test today first time, he started less than 5 months ago. The credit goes to son and an amazing driving instructor Greg Hall. We can't thank him enough. He is very flexible working around my son's other commitments. He kept us both up to date with progress and encouragement. We would highly recommend Greg. Thank you.

Took me a while to pass

Took me a while to pass. The hazard perception was slightly different I felt on the training to the actual test. As far as the support was concerned absolutely excellent from Jo.

Passed my test! Basildon

I recently passed my test after taking lessons with Martin Murray.
As an experienced driver, unlearning habits developed over years of driving seemed daunting at first but Martin is an amazing teacher. Always patient, very positive and encouraging. The great chats along with the lessons are a bonus. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to pass their test quick.

excellent!

Stephanie Wesson is my instructor and she is super kind and patient- I couldn’t recommend her enough! Because of her I was fortunate enough to pass first time with 0 minors, she’s a superb teacher. My experience was overall excellent and I’ve really enjoyed my driving lessons with Steph, she’s been a pleasure to have as my teacher. 😁

I had a great time learning to drive…

I had a great time learning to drive with Clive and the My Four Wheels platform, it provides structured learning and progress tracking. Having an insight to how your instructor views your driving skills is an invaluable confidence boost.

Clive was a great instructor who was patient, kind, witty and most importantly invested in my success. I couldn't recommend learning from him more.

I was encouraged to learn more than just what was required for me to pass a test, I was taught how to drive and look after a car and given safe exposure to situations where I could experience mechanics such as the ABS.

Tunbridge wells - Tony

I was taught to drive by Tony in Tunbridge Wells. He got me to be a very confident driver and pass my test first time. I was very comfortable in the car with him and didn’t feel judged at all when learning, he made it an enjoyable experience rather than a stressful one and I am very grateful!

I joined My Four Wheels because I…

I joined My Four Wheels because I didn’t have much understanding of how the process works in the UK to become a driving instructor. I expected to be properly introduced to the industry and supported through the journey. What I experienced instead was very disappointing.

I passed Part 1 and Part 2 largely on my own. For Part 3 the most important stage there was very little meaningful in-car guidance or structured development, which contributed to me failing three times and losing around two years. Although a small financial contribution towards further training was later offered, this does not address the core issue.
I also know at least four other trainees locally who had the same trainer and also failed. The impact has been serious—one colleague is even leaving the UK after 16 years, which is heartbreaking.

After my failure, my contract effectively ended immediately. I received no real support just a message that I could no longer teach for money. I was left without income, facing financial pressure and tax responsibilities.

In my experience, the focus felt more on signing people onto franchise agreements and collecting weekly fees, rather than ensuring trainees received the quality training, in-car experience, and exposure needed to meet the required standard—especially during the crucial pink licence stage.

Only after starting again with local school and receiving the right support from the beginning have I been able to fully understand how poor and inadequate my previous training was.

I understand that becoming an instructor requires personal investment. However, when you are paying specifically for training, you should be properly guided, supported, and prepared for what you will be assessed on. This is something I did not experience.

Please do your research carefully before joining My Four Wheels. Don’t be convinced by nice sales talk or promises that everything will be provided and that you will be guided through every stage of training. Make sure there is an experienced trainer available in your area, with the time and capacity to properly train and support you throughout. Don’t be satisfied with minimal support—this process requires proper guidance and real in-car training. Don’t fall for it the way I did, and don’t settle for just an occasional phone call.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to read about your experience.

We take training quality and aftercare seriously, particularly at Part 3 stage. Where a trainee is unsuccessful at Part 3 after all three attempts, we offer the opportunity to go back through the course again at no additional cost to help them progress.

All of our trainers go through ongoing development to maintain consistent standards, with training delivered through a structured combination of in-car sessions and ongoing support via our online training academy. It’s therefore disappointing to hear that this hasn’t been your experience.

As this review has been left anonymously, we’re unable to look into the specifics of your case. Please contact us directly with your details so we can review your training history and investigate this further.

We wish you the best with your future training.

Gareth was an excellent driving instructor

Gareth was an excellent driving instructor. He kept the lessons educational as well as making sure it was enjoyable. I started with Gareth as I had an instructor which was unreliable, Gareth made sure to fit me in and work it around my work, even if that meant working late. Gareth made then lessons to fit me and to make sure I was gaining something out of all of the lessons. Gareth built my confidence from day one and taught me from scratch, I can’t thank Gareth enough for helping me pass and being such an amazing instructor.

Best Instructor Ever!

I honestly can't recommend Adam Molyneux enough. I just passed my driving test first time, and I couldn't have done it without him. Beyond being a technical expert, he was a true mentor who built my confidence from day one, making me feel so at ease. Any time I had a question or was confused about something, he had a clear answer ready. If you're looking for someone who actually makes you feel comfortable and confident behind the wheel, he is definitely the person to go to.

Amazing instructors

Easiest process ever to get set up, and if my instructor, Ben I'Anson, is anything to go by the instructors are excellent. He made it super easy to pass, his instruction was excellent and he was extremely friendly. I was sad to say bye when i passed!

Highly recommended.

Andy was the most incredible driving instructor

Andy was the most incredible driving instructor. He had endless patience putting up with all my nerves, my 101 questions, and even my attitude lol. No matter how stressed or unsure I felt, Andy always stayed calm, supportive, and explained everything clearly
he helped me build confidence behind the wheel and made every lesson enjoyable.
Thanks to Andy’s amazing teaching, I felt completely comfortable going into my test and passed first time! I’m so grateful for all his help and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a patient, professional, and genuinely brilliant driving instructor

Wonderful Instructor

I am pleased to say I have passed my driving test on the first attempt with 5 faults. Massive thanks to my instructor Davyda Hill, who was extremely kind and understanding and such a calming presence throughout my time learning. She was extremely meticulous and careful with my learning and made sure that we covered all aspects of driving, which I really appreciate as I feel like I have full confidence when driving. Outside of the teaching, she was just a very wonderful and understanding instructor who was always empathetic and allowed me to change lessons on short notice when something urgent came up. I highly recommend Davyda to anyone who is looking to learn how to drive, and have no doubt that others will share the same positive experience as well.

Not for part time people!!

Do not use this company to become a part time driving instructor!! There are alot of hidden fees that were not discussed before taking out the contract. I left in debt with 0 financial gain and negative experiences of the company. Would not recommend as a side job.

We’re sorry to read your review, as this isn’t the experience we aim to provide.

From the outset, your goal (as discussed during the process) was to complete your training via a trainee licence, work around your current job, and initially cover the costs rather than generate a full income. Your planned availability was around 10 hours per week. In practice, this is below what we would class as part-time for this role — we typically recommend 16–24 hours per week to comfortably cover costs and generate income.

In your case, you requested an initial allocation of 6 pupils, which we provided within your first week and before you were even on the road. No further learner requests were made after this, so we worked within the availability and capacity you set.

To give context for others reading, in your area:

At around 20 hours per week, typical take-home after costs is approximately £19,760 per year

At around 24 hours per week, this increases to approximately £26,884 per year

These figures are after costs and include a fully serviced car and ongoing additional training while on a trainee licence. After completing your trainee licence and moving to a full-time 34-hour working week, this would typically increase to around £43,224 per year.

Regarding your comments on “hidden fees,” the costs involved in becoming a driving instructor were explained to you on the phone, within your contract, and are also clearly outlined on our website. We pride ourselves on being one of the most transparent driving schools when it comes to both earnings and costs, so it’s disappointing to see this described differently.

If you feel anything has been misunderstood or presented incorrectly, we are more than happy to address this directly with you.

All the best.

I passed my driving test today, thanks to an amazing instructor, Lee Prior

I passed my driving test today, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better instructor than Lee Prior. He was calm, patient, kind, and professional from start to finish, always making me feel comfortable and confident behind the wheel.

Lee explained everything clearly, corrected mistakes with patience, and genuinely cared about helping me succeed. His support and guidance played a huge part in me passing today.

If you’re looking for an instructor who is understanding, encouraging, and excellent at what he does, I highly recommend Lee Prior. Thank you again, Instructor Lee, I truly appreciate everything you did for me.
