Felix Senior 7+ sickness issues

We've used Felix for all our cats for years, however, just recently we've switched our 16 year old cat onto Felix Senior 7+. She was okay for a few weeks but the last few weeks she's periodically sick (white foam), very lethargic and has started leaving her food. Thinking it was kidney issues we took her to the vets for tests. Results were all normal. Vet then suggested we switch away from Felix as it's been known to cause issues. We're now doing that and we're hoping our little cat starts eating again properly and perks up.

Has the recipe changed

Has the recipe changed? My 8 year old male cat has always tolerated (fish variety) it from a digestion point of view (gourmet is his favourite but it makes him loose), however he has had diarrhoea for 3 weeks now, I thought it was because I had bought the meat variety, it seemed to resolve for a short while on gourmet cans but I had put him back on fish Felix and it’s come back again. I’m going to put him back on the gourmet cans and biscuits and reevaluate but it’s looking like Felix is the culprit.

Sachets consistently weighing BELOW 85g

Felix sachets have not only been reduced to 85g and kept the same price as the 100g; alot of sachets are filled well BELOW the specified 85g. Today I weighed 2 sachets, 1 was 73g the other was 79g. This is a recurring theme and not just for this box/ batch number. This needs to be alerted and rectified..

Poor Quality

I've had many cats over the last 30 years, and have always used Felix. I've noticed a decline in smell and texture for some time. The most recent purchases have gone in the bin, my cats just won't touch them

I have the unpleasant experience of living in a house where the owner feeds their cat Felix and when im all the way upstairs in my room I can smell the rancid food but it also smells like the cats number 2 which are always runny. It is the most disgusting thing not being able to tell the difference between cat food and number 2s

My cat used to love the 100g pouches but the 85g one I don't know what has happened. I don't know if it gave him a bad tummy but an excruciating experience fixing his diarrhea. Also never feed your cat yogurt for probiotics for diarrhea, it made it worse than my worst nightmare. Is the recipe different because I think my cat has gone off me? Either way I've had to mix delicate digestion with royal canin urinary biscuits to keep the poos normal. Absolute nightmare

Hope people realise the inferior food being offered to your pets at a premium price.

My cat has always preferred Felix. She always liked the meat in jelly. Recently I've noticed the Felix original is not so much meat but jelly. My cat won't eat it now. Apart from that I've always bought in boxes, correct me if I'm wrong, the pouches are much smaller?
Sorry Nestlé Purina PetCare, I need to find another provider.
Hope you take note of this!
●Update
I have tried my cat with Lidl own brand (Coshida) senior 7+ meat in jelly. She is much more content with this and it's much cheaper than other branded cat food.

Possible contamination

It was very disappointing to see the Felix brand by Purina following the trend to decrease the pouch size, that invariably leads to higher prices for the consumer due to the extra packaging required. A far more worrying factor has emerged since the pouch size has decreased, is the number of damaged pouches on the bottom edge, that are not always easily seen, due to some of the perforations being so small. I as a cat breeder have purchased the Felix brand for many years, and this was never an issue until the pouch size was reduced. The cardboard boxes are not damaged, that would suggest the damage is caused at the manufacturing stage. This issue could easily lead to contaminated food, and if a damaged pouch is not identified, then the cat eating the contents, expensive veterinary bills could be the consequence, or worse. I can understand manufacturers having added costs, but reducing pack sizes only makes ever rising costs even worse for the consumer, as they have to pay for extra packaging, but it becomes unacceptable when the goods are exposed to possible contamination, due to the smaller pouches being perforated.

Disgusted with Purina Felix cat food

Disgusted with Purina Felix cat food. The company claims to have reduced the size of the pouches to reduce food waste. They are still charging the same price though for 15% less food. What a scam and a big fat lie! It is now costing me a lot more to feed my cat, going to look for an alternative. Shame on you Purina, I hope people stop buying your products

New 85g sachets making my cat sick!

Purina have recently change their 100g sachets of, 'Felix As Good As It Looks' down to 85g. Since feeding my cat the downsized sachets, he has vomited every day. He is lethargic had bouts of diarrhoea. Has anyone else had these issues?
