Food was cold even though they took the time to prepare

Reheat hard chips, pollock fish not cod. £12.99 so ridiculously expensive for inedible rubbish. Service was rubbish too. Sneaky. The worst fish and chips I've ever had in 40 years.

What can l say about big johns in chelmsley wood not great l order a 9” build your own pizza and chips the lad serving me what a joke he was l had to tell him what topping on my pizza because they was busy l told him and payed l waited 45 minutes because they was busy got my pizza a checked it and it was wrong l told the lad this a he spoke to like s..t if wasn’t busy l would had nock him out talking to me like at and then walks off l no the own when he had a chip shop in the Walsall area and no he wouldn’t had spoken to people like at the chips was cold and the pizza was make up for a vegetable person no meal on it l be getting my food from he for years and over the last year and months it got worse the old manger was a nice lad it seems the old staff has been changed or left need to have a good look in to shop sorry l will not be going to the shop again l no lm one person but it needed looking in to

Im in the Big John at Digbeth and use this place a lot whilst im working here . Just wanted to say well done and thanks for some great food especially the Desi Breakfast and fantastic friendly service .

We been waiting 1 hour and half for cold food , soggy food , dry kebab and chips and they blamed the deliveroo driver , bad experience will not order food from there anymore.

3rd time chicken and chips I've had cold chicken and refried chips. Next time trading standards me thinks.

I used to buy from selly oak branch i like the food but costomor service is very bad and they do there best to give you a bad experiance

We placed an order which came to £27 as a treat for my grand children as it was new yrs eve. We ordered pepperoni pizza which was so doughy I had to spit it out. They gave us milkshakes which we had ordered and told us to wait in the car park for our order. We waited that long the cream had melted on the shakes. . The chips were OK but not up to usual standard. What a waste of food which went in the bin. I've ordered from here before and it was good but would I go again. Definitely not.

I have been a customer of Big John’s since 2007, and the last two years show that something has changed. The pizzas no longer have the same amount of selected toppings as they used to. The last two orders were a real disappointment. The pizza was burnt on top, which never happened before. I always praised their pizzas, even the vegetarian one was very good. This time I received a rubbery, shoe-sole-like pizza. I do not recommend it anymore.

We have been having take aways for many month's now and usualy we dont have much to complain about. Tonight we orderd our various items and usualy for £15.99 we would get a 10 piece bucket of chicken. When the order was ready they called our order out and said 8 piece's of chicken, we replied no we ordered 10 piece's. We only do 8 pieces now! so how much is that we ask. £15.99. So you remove 2 pieces of chicken and charge us the same as we've been paying for months with no warning or notice? so we had to pay extra for the 2 pieces we required. We were most disapointed those having the chicken as it was only slightly warm and very dry. Needles to say they will now loose our £53.00 + order every week.

I have tried food from Big Johns multiple times, however, the food is always at a very low quality. Chicken, Chips, Burgers and Pizzas are never at a good temperature. Donner meat is always dry, too tough with a funny burnt taste. Chicken is also tough with a funny oily taste. Pizzas seem to always be filled with too much paste and very greasy cheese. So I'll never eat from Big Johns ever again, and I hope others don't waste their time & money for any food from Big Johns.

I have been ordering from Big John’s Shirley (as well as other Big John’s branches) for years. Last week I placed an order with no issues. Today, I ordered in exactly the same way — only to receive a phone call telling me to cancel my order because “it’s not worth delivering to you” and that the driver “doesn’t like driving that far.”

Yes, that’s the actual reason given.
Not “we’re too busy,”
not “we’re outside the delivery radius,”
but the driver doesn’t like the drive.

I was also told this direction came from head office, which makes it even worse. If this is genuinely your policy, then why allow customers to place an order in the first place? Why take the money and then phone the customer to cancel because someone can’t be bothered to deliver?

Absolutely shocking customer service, zero professionalism, and a complete disregard for loyal customers. I’ve spent years supporting Big John’s — apparently that means nothing.

If this is how Big John’s treats returning customers, then I’ll take my business elsewhere and make sure others know what to expect.

I ordered food from big john hallgreen birmingham. I ordered masala fish which was salty and the batter was so dry and fish was hard to pull apart as it was fried so much, gave me stomach cramps and was in pain all night. Rang the company and they said never had a complaint before..

We had to have the service man to our house to fix the hot tub don't remember his name very friendly and very knowledgeable about the tub.

called customer service the guy is a wet wipe doesnt care about customers who pay good money avoid them

As an allergy sufferer, I checked and double checked with the imbe cile staff to make sure they didn’t put mayo on my food.
I got home (to another city) and found they poured mayo all over everything I ordered.
I called their number, only to be told to go back to the restaurant. I’m 2 hours away. Their customer service is an angry little man who couldn’t care less. The line says to report complaints but this guy was not interested and hung up on me both times I called. I’ll have to starve since I can’t go back to the store and I can’t even complain about it.

I went to big johns in Erdington Birmingham and asked for 2 piece chicken and chips, I did not have my glasses, so when I reached home I realised they gave me 2 chicken breast and chips, I went online and the online price was cheaper than what I paid. I phoned their customer service and they said in the end that the conversation was futile because unless i went in the shop to resolve the problem they could do nothing about it (i explained i suffered with my mental health therefore it was difficult for me to go back in just like that). I did go back in the shop eventually 2 weeks later and when I eventually spoke to the manager he said he would do nothing about the situation, so I spoke to customer service again and said I did go back in and nothing was resolved, I explained to them that they said it was futile unless I went back in and as I had gone back nothing had been resolved and it was very bad customer service from them and the shop, they denied they said this and that they would put down the phone and they did. I am disgusted at the treatment I have received from bigs johns and will Never go back.
