Great service, great communication

Communication was great, and the folks doing the work were really good and quick. I had some concern going online for this kind of work, hiring painters, but Adam was great to use. Will try again on my next project!

Would Recommend

Used Adam when we moved into our new house. The painter arrived early and had our kitchen and living room done (with 2 coats) by 2pm. Really pleasant to deal with and would use again in a heartbeat.

Great value decorators that got assigned quickly and easily

Got decorators assigned quickly and smoothly on a date of my choice on relatively short notice. The decorators were brilliant and very good value. The only thing I would mention is that it’s difficult to capture all requirements on the online questionnaire so the assigned decorators get in touch prior to the job to understand the full job

My experience with painter Adam was…

My experience with painter Adam was extremely poor and resulted in permanent damage to my home.

Despite being contractually obligated to protect and cover surfaces before starting work, nothing was properly covered. I had recently renovated my house with a new kitchen, new floors, window frames, blinds, sink, sockets, and light switches, everything ended up covered in paint. The paint on the floor in particular have destroyed it.

I was initially told the work was insured by the contractor’s insurance, but now the painter refuses to provide any insurance details. After I submitted photographic evidence, another painter was sent out. However, before this, two cleaning companies refused to clean the property because of the extent of the damage. I was then told their painter would “do his best” to clean it, but when he arrived, he informed me he had been told not to.

Customer service throughout the process was simply not good enough. Emails took ages to receive responses to, and it was extremely difficult to get anyone on the phone. Communication was poor from start to finish, and no proper accountability has been taken for the damage caused although it has been acknowledged. I was given no support to reduce or limit the damage.
I should also add that Painter Adam state they will do all the communication with the painter yet I raised that I was getting text messages that made me uncomfortable I was told they couldn’t stop him from contacting me despite it being quite unpleasant in nature and I was asking for all communication to go through Painter Adam.
Overall, this was a very stressful experience that left my newly renovated home permanently damaged after significant investment.

Terrible communication

Terrible communication. They offered to do my job for free because the previous person did not complete it well I’ve been trying to contact them and completely ignored all my emails and calls.

My experience working with Painter Adam…

My experience working with Painter Adam has been extremely disappointing. Painters are expected to complete jobs professionally, often purchasing materials with their own money and working hard to meet deadlines, yet the treatment and communication throughout the process has been poor.
Despite completing work and covering costs personally, there was little support, delayed responses, and ongoing back-and-forth instead of resolving issues fairly and professionally. It feels like painters are left carrying the financial burden while waiting for answers and payment.
A company should value and support the tradespeople representing them, not leave them stressed, unpaid, and uncertain about future work. I would strongly advise any painter considering working with them to not too.

Job done well but horrible dealing with payment

The job have been done as expected and perfect , I have asked to pay by card payment and I paid the full amount once I have received the payment link ( the sent a wrong link first with wrong amount ) , but every few days I keep receiving emails that I didn't pay the amount and say they will consider legal action , I have contacted multiple times to ask them to update their records and I have attached a screenshot confirming the payment , they apologised but then keep sending these emails and ask for payment already settled .

This have ruined my experience and I will not probably ask for work again through this company .

DO NO HIRE

Do not hire. I made the mistake of trying to save a bit of money by going through this company but it was such a mistake. The painters they sent me did not cover the floor properly nor did they cover any furniture and got paint everywhere. All over our carpet, our bed frame, mattress, duvet , skirting etc. everything destroyed. Hired cleaners to try and get it out but they are permanent stains, I will need to replace the carpet. I contacted My Adam and they took absolutely no responsibility and firstly only offered me a 10% discount until I threatened legal action with evidence and they then said I don’t need to pay however I wanted reimbursement for all the damage but they claim they are not at all at fault. I quickly found out they do not vet their painters and will take absolutely NO responsibility for the god awful job they do. So not only do I have to now pay to get everything repainted because the paint job could have been done better by a child but I’m also left with stained carpet and furniture. Absolutely ridiculous, a joke of a company.

Home improvement 24,000 loss don’t trust!!

Higher Adam 1 year ago for home improvements. The projects consist of completely new bathroom 1st floor. 2 nd floor bathroom . kitchen counters floors and cabinets. Install my stove. All 30 window screen replacements, my roof , gutters , rotting wood siding replacement. Fix my fence around my pool. Empty pool and install cover. New floors throughout the whole house. Rotting corner of portion of back of my house. Fix garage door, patch and seal driveway. And some painting to finish. 24,000 paid. Nothing got done. He spent the money writhing the first few months. I asked for the money back. He didn’t have any of it. Adam has been telling me he will be paying me back . Never calls me or contacts me . I had to contact him . Just to hear more excuses. Waiting for checks to clear. Tells me he is going to pay on a certain date but doesn’t call. The contract he emailed me in May one yr ago didn’t have license numbers or 3 day right to back out . I’ve recovered about 2,800 and I had to yell and argue just to get that. My roof is leaking in 3 spots. Pool fence dangerously broke. I have no stove, no screens, mold coming through my shower. Puddles and cracks in driveway. Rotting siding. Gutters 50% not functional. Still getting excuses. I pay a 2nd mortgage and have nothing left. Very manipulative and begs for money. I’m happy I didn’t lend him 6,500 when he asked. Do not trust Adam he also hides his extensive criminal record. Thanks for nothing Adam.

Really easy to use

Really easy to use. A few minor hiccups with the order form and emailing support but overall very happy with the actual work done and how easier it was to get a tradesman within a couple of days of contacting Adam.

Amateurs

I would not recommend this company of amateurs. They really do not know how to operate a trade seeking business. Booked for my job and postponed and then cancelled leaving me high and dry. Not sure they are even based in the UK.
Stay away from them.

They arrived on time

They arrived on time, were pleasant, listened to what was to be done, I found it good to be able to talk personally to them. I paid for the extra cleaning. They tidied up, painting was good.
