We had the pleasure of Paul playing at our 10th anniversary party, he was amazing and our guests absolutely loved him. He was so organised and thought of everything that we might want or need. I cannot recommend him highly enough. Thank you Paul for making our party a night to remember.

We recently used Music for Functions to book a DJ for our wedding reception. We received an excellent, personalised service. Paul listened to exactly what we wanted and was able to recommend a DJ that fit our brief perfectly. The booking was easy and correspondence was always quick and reliable. Everything with the booking went smoothly and I was able to trust that they had everything in hand for our day. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again.

The guys were communicative throughout the entire process, and were endlessly flexible and professional. The band all showed up on time and were all incredibly polite. During the set, their songs were mind blowing. Note for note perfection throughout, incredible singing and a distractingly handsome bass player 5/5 would book again.

Such a great fun band! The guys absolutely made our wedding. They were so accomodating to all of our requests - had great advice and guidance about creating a set list and had a MASSIVE collection of tunes to choose from!

Our first dance we will both never forget, followed closely by the second dance which had the whole wedding up dancing.

We came across this band after meeting and speaking to many bands before for wedding day. The minute you meet Paul from smoking jacks you immediately know you have found the band. He was extremely friendly, always helpful and has an amazing voice. From start the to finish he was brilliant. The band performed in front of a big wedding and they smashed it. The songs that were played were perfect. I can honestly say I would use them again and again. Highly recommend for birthdays weddings or if you just want a great night. Thank you guys you made our wedding special and never forget

These guys played at our wedding a couple of weeks ago. Genuinely, couldn't have asked for a better band! We are both really into our music so the quality of the band is massively important to us and they did not disappoint.

Paul, the organiser, was proactive and enthusiastic from the beginning and you could tell this is an absolute passion. They even took on board the request for some Rage Against the Machine at the end of the night which was an amazing way to end the set.

All the feedback from the wedding has mainly been how great the band was. Have seen some videos since and everybody was up and dancing - all night!

Paul and the band put together an absolute belter of set for our stag do catered toward the stag's musical interests.

With no hesitation they spoke with the venue and got everything set up which made our lives really easy organising the rest of the day.

I would have no reservations recommending or hiring these guys again, very professional, very fun, BOOK THEM!

I had someone cancel on me from another company, at the last minute. I got Paul’s details through a referral from a friend. Paul responded quickly and found me a singer/guitarist at such short notice - I so immensely grateful.

For the event Adam was fantastic, really brilliant. Just perfect, I will be using ‘Music for Functions’ again!

We booked Music for Functions for a gig for my brother’s stag do.

Paul and the band were great, super organised and accommodating when it came to arranging the gig. They liaised with the venue, set everything up long before we arrived and played an excellent really energetic set and even joined in the stag do fancy dress theme! Everyone loved it. Paul brought his 4 piece band to play at my Husband's surprise 50th Birthday.
In the run up to the event Paul was in touch at regular intervals. His planning is considerate and he asked for information on the sort of music my husband liked in order to draw up a set list that would satisfy his taste, he even elected to learn two songs to add to the set list, these were so well appreciated by the audience and in particular the birthday boy.
People were amazed at how the band knew exactly what to play and I had a wry grin as I knew it was all in Paul's planning and not a lucky coincidence.
The band were incredible. Fantastic sound and so professional but also fun, they interacted with the audience and literally the dance floor was full from start to end.
The other nice touch was I shared a playlist for the interval and the band kept their PA equipment up so we could enjoy some after hours dancing, and this was even after they could have left, so again most appreciated.
I will definitely be using Music for Functions again and will recommend them. Thank you Paul and the gang for making a most memorable night for us all.

Incredibly professional and open to suggestions and working together (which is important). Above all, awesome music! I ran a charity basketball tournament and used Music For Functions. They did everything possible to make the day run smoothly and even when we wanted to switch to our own playlist and it didn't work they had a back-up!! Great quality kit and couldn't have run the GG3v3 without them. Will def use again.

We can not thank you all enough for the incredible performance you put on for us at our wedding. It honestly blew us away, it was exactly what we wanted and everyone I've spoken to has said how brilliant you guys were! 

It honestly was the best wedding party we've ever been to and could ever have asked for. I would not hesitate recommending you to anyone needing a band!

Hugely talented band, friendly and easy to work with. Keen to discuss playlist composition, adjusted the song choice on the night to match the crowds enthusiasm with flawless execution. Played with great energy which made the performance feel like a gig rather than another wedding band. Their performance was one of the highlights of our wedding day, strongly recommend!

Great music, got everyone on the dance floor - very professional and friendly outfit!

From the initial organisation of the evening with Matt, Paul and the band everything was so easy and very helpful in terms of what they could provide to make our evening memorable and fun. They even managed to learn a song to play for our first dance which was awesome. Very informative with regard to what musicians would form a great sound for the style of music we wanted for our party.

As for the actual evening, they were an absolute hit and everyone loved the music. Really friendly people and first class musicians, couldn't recommend any more for any kind of function that needs a superb vibe!

Paul provided entertainment for the ceremony and drinks reception of a wedding I was planning. He was professional, easy to get hold of, flexible and more importantly was a fantastic performer and really added to the vibe. He read the crowd well, chose brilliant songs and was a great addition to the day.

It's quite difficult to put into words what an incredible effect Smokin Jacks had on our wedding day. The feedback from our guests was brimming with positivity for the band. Everyone... EVERYONE was dancing (even the grumpiest of uncles!) Having heard them before, I had complete confidence that they would set, carry and elevate the mood and they did that and so much more. Really, they were just perfect for creating the energetic, dance happy and joyful soundtrack to my favourite day. Paul was so supportive and professional during my wedding planning haze too. I cannot recommend with more gusto.

We asked for a lot of Paul and his band, adding an award show with the band playing live with only a handful of run throughs.

The result was fantastic and we had a very happy client and great atmosphere.

The one thing we wanted for our wedding was for it to be fun, and for everyone to get involved. Having been recommended the Smokin' Jacks by a friend, we got in touch and liaised with them on our perfect playlist. The night went without a hitch - they kicked in for our wedding song, and the dance floor stayed full until the end!

The band were fun, engaging, and above all else, brilliant musicians! Their arrangements of songs we had asked for on the list were faultless, and the mix of other tunes worked perfectly, keeping us all on our feet (despite some questionable shoes) for hours.

I was especially touched when they invited an old friend of mine onto stage to perform one of my favourite songs from when I was in a band back in the day - bought a tear to my eye!

A massive thank you to the band for making the evening really, wouldn't hesitate to recommend them!
