Promises to help but never does

So tried to go through this company for a weekend which start tomorrow. Kept contacting them and Steve said he was working on it and we had plenty of time. Promised to get back to me every time I phoned but never has. Don't wait for them to organise anything for you as they will let you down. Luckily we had the sense to book something else otherwise we could have ended up with nothing. Very poor communication and should have just said I am sorry I cannot help rather than promising to work on it and keep people hanging!!!
