The Mod is a Dick
I can not download anything over about 1 MB without an account. Plus my account and IP address was banned for nothing. The mod, Dizzy, must be smoking some crack cocaine or something. I’m not the only one banned, other innocent users were banned from there as well. The site needs a better, nicer and smarter mod because Dizzy is basically like a Nazi. Don’t trust this site. And I hope Dizzy, the Mod of MugenArchive, rots in the fiery pits of hell.
Darkside of Mugenachivecom.
Mugenachive.com has banned my IP address for false reasons and the same thing is happening to innocent people one after another who has not broken any rules of that website that website needs to change and the Nazi rules needs to change as well and until it does I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to come back to mugenachive.com ever that website has a darkside I can't trust Mugenarchive.com if it does not change the way it operates plus Mugen archives should never be used for personal gain or for power in the person in charge of mugenarchive.com name Dizzy needs to be fired and replaced if he and those like him can't do their job and keep that website safe as they supposed to then I don't think it's safe to go back people are getting banned for false reasons one after another and the same thing happened to me I love Mugen I never played that game before but Mugenarchive.com needs to change if not then I'm never coming back and Dizzy the person in charge of Mugenarchive.com needs to be arrested and prosecuted for attacking innocent people for no reason each time most of them or a lot of them come to that website and using a Mugenarchive website for power and personal gain if he's going to be teaming up with criminals who break the rules one after another then he doesn't deserve to be in charge of the Mugenarchive.com he needs to be replaced and until that happens I cannot trust that website anymore. 😠
Weak website run by even weaker people!
Weak website run by even weaker people with some entertainingly fragile egos
They think their little "community" thing is going to draw people in but it does the opposite lol

An actual good archive with the worst mod ever (Dizzy)
An actual good archive with the worst mod ever (Dizzy)
What's the point of making an archive if you're not going share it with people at all. It doesn't matter if you're registered or pay for access (Scam btw). The community will definitely forgot MugenArchive and noone's gonna use it. So lemme ask this again, What's the point?
Awful Site, stay away.
awful site, extremely sensitive admins, will ip ban anyone they catch using different mugen sites.
the Community Event bars anyone who isn't registered
even if Registered, you still need to post a lot to level up to not be barred during these events.
Needs New Management/Better Competition
Needs new management. Moderators are poor, have fragile egos, happily ban anyone permanently by their IP Address just for voicing out against them and not even technically breaking any said rules. That being said, some rules are very unfair, like weekends being shut off only for paid users when the Website is for a free game. I have to use a VPN just to use the place.
Here is a quote from the Admin, who goes by "Dizzy".
"Could you please provide some details about this. Please remember defamation is punished with instant ban here. We've run out of patience for drama years ago.
Apart from that, there is no monetization, we don't have any ad, and if you're trying to say we shouldn't get any donation either then that means you basically want the site to go bankrupt and shutdown. If that's the case then you should at the very least leave this place because we're sick of wasting our time banning haters. Trust me, the admins have more important things to do with their time here.
And the "creator right" issue is probably more complicated than you may think. You can not legally file any licensing nor claim any copyright over content that is based off third party assets or intellectual property. To put it simply, if your character is not 100% original, you don't have any legal right over it."
And they expect you to pay them to use the website on weekends or for certain downloads. Basically, the person/people who run the place extort money from people by making them pay for a website that gives free downloads to a free game which they do not own, and treats people badly who speak out against it or anything about their moderation jobs or themselves personally.
Hey, you!
Do you want to go to a website that hosts thousands upon thousands of Mugen characters and stages, with the intent to download a bunch of characters and stages?
That's cute.
No downloads on weekends (unless you post on their stupid forum), ban-happy admins who can't take criticism, registered users who don't post are "leechers" and get their file size limit halved, overall shady practices, and worst of all, they have all the stuff that you can't find anywhere else.
They banned my IP for no reason
Sometimes they unban people if they donate but it's not guaranteed. This site is a scam.
Worst site for Mugen content out there.
The day this site goes down for good is when we should inact a new holiday to celebrate.
There is no other word than horrible to describe everything if it comes to the mods and admins.
They do a horrible job at everything. They are horrible human beings. They are horribly stuck up and horrible if it comes to listening to valid constructive criticism about pretty much anything.
Any other site, no matter how fishy it looks is 100% better in any way. Even a keylogger, virusdownloading hacker site would be more enjoayble to visit and the people there would still be more friendly towards you than these manbabies on Mugenarchive.
Those guys were either horribly bullied at school and now are on a powertrip, trying to act out revenge on everything, or as i see it, haven't been bullied enough in school to cut em down a few pegs.
Not like many people even still know about Mugen or how to mod them. These guys however give even that little bit that still exists a horrible reputation.
Good website with the worst admin ever
The main administrator Dizzy will ban people simply for using other websites (which they refer to as “EVIL websites”), refers to everyone who doesn’t regularly interact in the forums or upload as “lurkers” and “leeches” (even barring said people from being able to download anything for “community weekend events”), and also is the sole moderator of the r/mugen subreddit, where they act in a similarly tyrannical manchild manner.
An absolutely garbage admin who throws a fit whenever people don’t act the way they want them to. They often provide evidence for why their website is the only good website for Mugen, almost always from a wiki they wrote themselves. Said wiki speaks of Mugen Archive in mostly neutral, objective terms. However, other websites are described as “failed” and often juvenile childish insults in their articles. Your IP address will also be banned if you point out this bias. Excellent site for downloads ran by a psychotic manchild who thinks they’re a dictator. They’ve been in this position of power for years and Mugen is too niche of a community for anyone to really do anything.
For all I know, they could be reading this right now and will throw a fit and ban my IP address for it.
Worst Website in existence
For any Mugen fans or newcomers, STAY AWAY from this website. It is so bad in every aspect that's not funny. You have administrators who have no idea how to moderate without abusing power, banning you for over the stupidest reasons, and without warning, which actually happened to me as I wrote this.
They have an extreme hatred towards "lurkers" with me being one of them. Essentially, lurkers are people who do nothing but download characters, stages, etc. They do not contribute to forums or upload their own content. There are even days in which lurkers cannot download anything. While I have to admit, this website is easy to navigate and contains a great catalog of content, the downsides outweigh the good. You are better off searching for other Mugen websites that provide the same experience but with far fewer dumbasses.
i got banned for no Reason
The moderator Dizzy is the biggest issue with MA.
Dizzy will ban you for basically no reason because they are schizo and thinks everyone is out to get them / are from other sites.
They will also IP ban you and prevent you from getting anything, if you have any complaint about the site or even just constructive advice/criticism, they will call you a leacher and again... ban you.
They also banned VPN IPs because they are petty like that.
Use it as a catalogue and then look up the names of the mugen characters and download them from the source, it's better than clicking through their ads anyway.
If they got rid of Dizzy, then maybe the site would be a great experience... maybe. Or if Dizzy calms down. Regardless, this has gone on for years so I doubt it.
As for the site itself, it has a lot of issues with characters that are basically the same character and the system to find specific characters could use some work, but it has a lot of them so it has that going for it. If they had a way to look up Authors as a catagory so you could get a more homogenous set of characters, that would help.
The ads are a bit annoying and they have a weekend thing where they make it impossible to download things unless you have met some sort of requirement on their forums...
Also there is a search bar but it's not really easy to find and most people don't even know about it.
My advice: If you wanna use this site... STAY AWAY FROM THE FORUMS. Dizzy will find a reason to ban you eventually.
Bad site; worse people.
I've recieved an ip ban for no reason; they accused me of harrasment when I never say anything against the site nor there neither outside (in fact I never even wrote a single comment in the archive). The admins there seem to act in a arbitrary/erratic way.
There is also the issue they completely support stealing; most of the characters their host are editions from editions from editions... and the worst part of it: you have to pay for a VIP membresy if you want to download the "top rated" ones! Awful.
I have never created anything
I have never created anything
and I didn't get banned.
The guy below must have serious issues with reality.
Awful
Awful, i got banned for no reason back in 2019, they have a huge hatred towards users that only download characters and stages and not make content and i think that is the dumbest thing ever, as some people just wanna play the game and not make content, or they do not have the pc to make it, limit your downloads and its so unfair as some chars are exclusive on this trash of a website, i do not recommend this site, they might ban you for breathing
Literal Pile of Garbage.
So, let me educate you guys on what "leakers" are. In the MUGEN community, there's "public" characters: finished and ready to be shared. Then there's "private" characters. They can either be unfinished, or the author simply wishes to keep them private. Recently, my own friend had a leaker situation, and it falls under the "unfinished" side of private characters. I called the leaker out, MA deleted the character. I thought it was fine, so I made a thread, discussing potential ways we can efficiently deal with leakers. I got banned for "being toxic", and the character that was deleted was brought back out of spite. Guess who did it? Dizzy. Dizzy, you are a problem.
Best DBZ collections ever
Best DBZ collections ever
I love the 16-bit dbz collection and the EB collection. Made two rosters one for 16bit stuff and another for extreme butoden. 10/10
Got banned over nothing
Got banned over nothing. Content is hardly usable due to bad archiving and messy database.
Mortal Kombat stuff in the site is subpar.
No creators are hosted, and actually they insult those who create stuff.
Would never go back.
