🚨 PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: MILLER ROOFING SOLUTIONS LLC IS NOT WORTH THE STRESS
I am posting this review because I personally witnessed much of what happened during my mother's roofing project with Miller Roofing Solutions, and I believe potential customers deserve to hear about it.
My mother was told her roof would be completed in one day and that her property would be protected during the work.
The project did not go as promised.
Over the course of four days, I personally witnessed:
• Only two workers arriving initially, with only part of the roof completed.
• No site manager present despite being told there would be one.
• Workers arriving at approximately 6:45 a.m. without the promised site manager checking in.
• Conflicting information about where the supposed site manager was, followed by learning that he wasn't even in town and was not actually a Miller site manager.
• No consistent Miller Roofing Solutions representative available to communicate with the homeowner while subcontractors were working.
• Roofing materials and tiles placed over landscaping.
• Plants crushed and landscape lighting damaged.
• Roofing nails and debris left throughout planting beds and grass.
• Water damage occurring in two rooms of the home.
• A day when no workers showed up at all.
• And, most seriously, a worker being injured by a nail gun while working.
I personally saw blood on the worker's shirt after the nail-gun injury. There was no first-aid kit available. I went into the house, got bandages, and bandaged his hand myself.
I cannot overstate how disturbing that was to witness.
Workers — including subcontractors — deserve basic consideration for their safety and access to first aid when they are injured. Homeowners also deserve to know that the people working on their property are being properly supervised and cared for.
The communication throughout this project has also been extremely troubling. My mother has repeatedly called, texted, and sent written correspondence to Kevin and Ray documenting the problems. Her most recent correspondence has gone unanswered.
When Kevin, one of the business owners, came to pick up the dumpster, I attempted to discuss what was happening. Instead of addressing my concerns, he refused to speak with me because I was not willing to listen to him tell my mother that she had no right to expect what had been promised.
I understand that weather happens. I understand that construction projects encounter unexpected problems.
What I do not understand is the lack of communication, supervision, property protection, and basic safety response that I personally witnessed.
I am not writing this review based on something I heard from someone else. I was there. I saw the damage. I saw the debris. I saw the working conditions. I saw the injured worker's blood. I got the bandages and treated his hand.
We have photographs and written communications documenting what occurred.
Miller Roofing Solutions currently has no negative reviews that I could find, which is striking given what we have experienced. I am not claiming that other reviews are fake or paid — I have no evidence of that. I am saying that potential customers should not assume that a lack of negative reviews means there have been no serious problems.
Talk to actual customers. Ask who will supervise your project. Ask how workers are protected. Ask how your property will be protected. Ask what happens when something goes wrong.
And most importantly, pay attention to how a company treats the people doing the work.
Based on what I personally witnessed, I strongly urge homeowners to think very carefully before hiring Miller Roofing Solutions LLC.
This is not simply about a roofing project going off schedule.
This is about accountability, safety, communication, respect for a homeowner's property, and respect for the people doing the work.
Customers deserve better.
