Price quoted was not what I paid

Price quoted was not what I paid. Stuff was on the truck and suddenly my 4500 bill became a 6500 bill. They used semantics and changed names of items to charge more. Unpacked my dressers and unnecessarily put clothes in boxes dribbling box count up to charge more
Property was damaged. Items are missing and I paid $2000 more than the quote. I have moved before and this stuff was only done so they could charge more
My rep, Marvin has been no help

Stay away from this company. They are brokers and NOT movers!

Movers were absolutely fantastic

Movers were absolutely fantastic! Great customer service. I was moving from WA to VA and they handled it like pros from start to finish. Delivery took a few more days than I was hoping, but that was to be expected during winter time. Would use again

The HORROR Story of Moving Direct Van Lines

Out of all the moving companies that I looked into, it seemed as though Moving Direct Van Lines was the Best of the groups.

However, Don't Be Fooled, for after doing my Due Diligence on this company, in the end result, I've found out, that NO Matter whom you choose, that they're nothing more than Brokers to the deal, because at the end of the day, they will Truly "Subcontract to another company" for the job, and in this instance, it was MMG, in my mind, after all was said and done, was the "Worst Movers in The World.
My Original cost was $4,550.67 and at the end of this disastrous move, it came to $6,120.29, with an additional $150.00 Extra for the delivery team has to walk more than 100 Steps.

Now this doesn't include the Damage that my belongings suffered during this move. My 55" Inch Flat Screen T. V. was Cracked at the right hand bottom, which left my T. V. not a Full Screen Television.
My Computer was packed So Incorrectly, that It left the Computer Inoperable, then I had to pay $450.00 to get fixed, and the computer was only One (1) Year Old. My Desktop Furniture was broken on One (1) End. My Hover Vacuum Cleaner Parts were Broken and Inoperable. There were Multiple Part Damages to my Bedroom Set.

Now, the sad thing about the whole situation, when you want to report these situations, they send you to a company called CSI, and I'm still having problems, in not only reporting all of these situations, but this company will act like, they don't even want to be Bothered with your Issues.

Because, first you have to register with their website, then you have to go through the process of taking pictures, then filling out different forms for Each Item(s), then you have to get assigned a Claims Adjuster, which could take you months.

Now here's the sad part, I packed Twenty-Four (24) Boxes on My Own, and then they want to Charge you for the Extra Space, which I don't even think that the Extra Space Was Ever Needed....

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY OR MMG, FOR YOU WILL HAVE A SAD EXPERIENCE.

Awful experience

Awful experience — employees were uncommunicative and unprofessional, estimate was off by nearly double, multiple hidden fees existed, and the movers they coordinated with didn’t show up on the scheduled day. Essentially every aspect of the move was horrid.

Promised Compensation and Nothing

I have had a terrible experience and was told multiple times that they would figure out compensation. My items were picked up late, delivered late, not put back together at the new house and many not even unwrapped. I called repeatedly and they just kept having me tell my story to another person who always said they'd figure out compensation. I spoke to Jodie several times and she was one of the many people who told me they would speak to upper management to get this resolved.
Original Quote - $8000 Charged an additional $4000 at pick up because I told them I needed beds moved but didn't specify that the beds would have a mattress and things like that. It was a small two bedroom apartment, but I wanted premium service so I was willing to pay the $8000.
I want compensation for all the items not put back together including all my outdoor furniture, couch, etc. Mattress was left in the wrapping paper on the living room floor. The broken items, I will go through insurance. They also left indoor furniture on the patio which of course got weather ruined and my outdoor furniture all broken wrapped or left in the boxes. Hopefully they will contact me for compensation. I hate having to leave a review like this. I requested $3500 back. I also want half of the extra $4000 back because many of the items they charged me extra for arrived broken or not put together.

Terrible company

Terrible company. They made a terrible decision by picking a carrier for me in CA that took 3 months to send over my goods (they quoted me 15-6 days). They took no responsibility for the issue. The carrier was even worse but the fact is this brokerage had them pick up my goods on a 24 hrs notice and I had no choice but to take this option. In the end I have damaged goods and a delivery 3 months late. This carrier has no professionalism and no acceptance of responsibility.

I just got my stuff delivered my Moving…

I just got my stuff delivered my Moving Direct Van Lines. We planned the delivery at pick up and they got here on the day we wanted. They set up everything for me. AND NONE OF MY FURNITURE WAS DAMAGED!! unlike the last moving company I used before them.

This company sucks

This company sucks. "James" is a lying ass*. We had a deal that was pay in full with credit card. Movers showed up, stated they wanted cash. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Goodness i I’m embarrassed I contracted…

Goodness i I’m embarrassed I contracted with this company. They reviewed well and seemed professional when I booked them a month out from my move date. I was given a 4 day move window, and was told they would call me a week to 2 days prior to schedule the actual day. I started calling them the 1st day of my scheduled move window, when I hadn’t heard from them- and every day since. I was told each time there was a delay- but they should still be able to pick up my items on at least the last day of my move window. That day came and went and no one would return my calls. At 3pm on Friday, a day after my last move window day, they called me to CANCEL. Not reschedule- not provide and alternate mover- but just cancel. They said they were unable to complete my order. Simple as that. It’s been 3 days since they cancelled my order and I still don’t have my deposit refunded either. And 2 of the agents I was emailing with no longer have valid emails. I’m embarrassed to have ever contracted them. I would not recommend- I can’t think of any other word but scam.

Where oh where is our household goods?

Where oh where is our household goods? My daughter moved from GA to MI a couple weeks ago and used Moving Direct for the household goods. So where do I begin on the mess that is her move? Well let's start with the delivery pickup which was supposed to be 15-16 June. They movers showed up at 3pm on the 17th! They were short handed so they tried to hire day labor people and found ONE person to help. They entire house was packed and on the truck at 1pm on Friday but the closing on the house was supposed to be 10am that morning so everything had to be shifted. OH and they charged an extra $5,000 over the estimate!!!
Now it's 6 July and we have still not received the household goods or gotten an estimate for when they will arrive! What the is going on with this place?!

Awesome Company

Awesome Company they were so easy to work worth and every thing they said would happen happened. I was worried when relocating for work i have never moved before , but moving direct made it simple and easy.
