Have complained to Consumer Tribunal who are looking into them. Absolutely do not use this company, they will rip you off 😡 Come on NZ, what is going on? Why are we allowing this kind of shit to exist for years? Look at the reviews for this company and DON'T BOOK! You can't leave a review on their website which tells you a lot. They don't ask for feedback, which tells you alot. AVOID 😡🤬

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPNAY!!!

The movers themselves were lovely, but management was absolutely shocking.
They arrived 1.5 hours late, with almost no communication. A simple move took over 3 hours, and my partner had to help move most of the items himself.
Despite receiving a written quote, halfway through the move the owner called and threatened to stop the job and return our belongings to the depot unless payment was made immediately. This was never disclosed beforehand and led to 30 minutes of arguing on the phone, wasting paid moving time. The final invoice ended up nearly double the quoted price with hidden charges.
Reception was unprofessional — I called four times on the day just to confirm if the movers were even coming, and got no clear answers.
This company’s management is dishonest, sneaky, and unprofessional, exploiting both customers and their own hardworking staff. One of the worst service experiences I’ve had. Avoid.
- They have still yet to even acknowledge the trash job they did and even come back - now taking legal action against them

Serious damage, threats, and no resolution after 3 months

My move took place on 19 October 2025. I waited until 13 January 2026 before posting this review to allow the company time to resolve the issues. Despite repeated follow-ups, the matter remains “under review.”
During the move, furniture was damaged, including a desk that had been broken into pieces and stacked to appear intact. When inspected, the desk fell apart, showing that the screws and bolts had been ripped out of the wood.
The washing machine pipes were also cut, not disconnected, leaving the appliance unusable and posing a safety risk.
The move was further affected by unexplained delays, which increased the final charges. Although I did not photograph the partially loaded truck, the delays were observable and had a direct cost impact.
When these issues were raised, the response was threatening and intimidating, including being told that my items would be withheld if payment was not made, despite the damage and unresolved issues.
More than three months later, there has been no repair, no compensation, and no resolution.
• Desk damaged and deliberately stacked to conceal damage
• Furniture damaged
• Washing machine pipes cut
• Unexplained delays increasing charges
• Threats to withhold items
• No resolution

I hired Moving Auckland on 1 November…

I hired Moving Auckland on 1 November 2025 for a 3-hour move. The movers arrived at 11:18 am and left at 1:30 pm, despite charging me for three hours. The job was not completed: my bed was not fully reassembled, a slat/end piece is missing, and my coffee table and couch were never placed in my room. My bed base was also scratched during the move.

Most concerning, two bags of my personal belongings went missing, and when I asked, the movers claimed they were not in the truck. I was pressured to pay before the job was finished, with threats that my items would be taken if I didn’t pay.

I had to assist with moving myself due to their delays, and the company left before completing the work. I do not recommend this company and caution others to carefully consider other options before hiring them.
