Awesome Service

When I saw the item I wanted at 10% of its price I was dubious. Even more so after reading multiple reviews. I shouldn't have been. My item arrived safely and is exactly what I ordered. Whether they missed a zero on the price I'm not sure but I was amazed when it arrived! Can't fault them at all.

Do not buy here. No proper return service and unfriendly behavior in case something is wrong by deleting account and pretending that will solve their customer issue

I ordered a mechanical oil pump for a 24 year old revised scooter still used at my vacation home but upon delivery it looked used, damaged by throwing with it, no oil inside it anymore, one missing cap on the outlet, heavy turning drive shaft, bend inlet/outlet pipes

Upon communication about it my account was deleted so left a King-Avis review. The reaction on that was quite threatening with a demand to remove the review because I was expecting a different brand pump instead of a low quality Mokix and that I used the part already which was not the case

I'm a car and motorbike mechanic myself so know not to use a damaged part like this. Upon inspection when I had time for it this week I noticed 2 loose screws on one side. When opened I noticed a retainer pin for the drive shaft was not correctly installed blocking other inner parts. When opening the other side a spring for the pump mechanism was missing. The inlet pipe was loose so pulled it out and saw the manufacturer did not drill a hole through so oil could never enter the pump at all which was likely the problem of the previous customer who returned it in this state. by looking at the damage I asume the previous customer damaged their engine with it and perhaps also lost their money with a deleted account

When I would have used this pump I would have damaged the engine too by no 2-stroke oil coming into it. In the end I did manage to fix and revise the pump by ordering original Gurtner internal parts elsewhere and carefully drill a hole in the housing where there should be one. It's pretty hard to get new parts for this older scooter and worth the try to fix and revise it myself to not waste any more money. So in the end I turned it into an actual working Gurtner pump myself. This costed me some extra money, waiting time and labor. As a mechanic I was 85Euro/hour and as network engineer 140 Euro/hour

Based on the reaction I got I assume they know they are sending broken parts. I see many other reviews with similar part problems and treatment. Most reviews on their website seem fake and the same with generic 5-star reactions

You can delete my account and ignore me Motorkit but this Santa Claus will come and say hi for a cup of coffee when I'm in the neighborhood. For me it's not even about the money but the matter of principle. Maybe I will take legal steps towards the local Belgian watchdog as well. I gave it a few months to correct it and I think that should be enough time to wait.

Normally I do not even write reviews so this was my first one in 48 years. Congratulations Motorkit!

Ordered a part that was suppose to fit…

Ordered a part that was suppose to fit my Minerelli engine on my Zuma scooter but did not fit also the chrome finish had polishing brush hairs in it. Was told I could return but would have to cover shipping which would cost around $80. Don’t feel if it is my fault that I should have to pay to ship item back. Would not recommend this company.

Abysmal after sales

Quick delivery, but that’s where the good stuff ends.
Bought an oil cooler - followed the installation instructions annd torque specification (15Nm) and stripped the threads. Refused to honour warranty and told me it was my fault and that i got confused between kg and Nm (!) Avoid and take your money elsewhere

There's room for improvement

Can't say it's without it's flaws.
Emails now and then go unanswered, generally the replies take some time to arrive. Some times the reply is not clear. Maybe Pierre not being an English born speaker has issues, who knows. There's some value on the replies, not as much as expected, but it is what it is.
Overall the experience is not bad, good delivery times, quality items and packaging, just customer support needs to go up a notch.
I would buy again.
