Thank you Motor City Plymouth.

Thank you Motor City Plymouth.
Had an engine light come on and you were busy but you sorted it out with no fuss with the usual kindness and quality that seems a norm for you 💯👍

Had a look around couldnt really find want we wanted. Ended up at motor city plymouth. Dealt with Erwan Vauconsant who was great and also had a great sence of humour. I must be getting old as he didnt know who arthur daley was! lol. Bought a ford fiesta with a cash discount as i didnt have a car to trade in. They give a great after service also. Ill review again after 12 months once i see what the after service is like but at the moment were very very pleased.

Motor City Plymouth v Bristol Street Motors Plymouth

I have a Dacia Sandera that has a fault on its drive system and is uncomfortable to drive. I took it to Bristol Street Motors because I got it from them after struggling for a year with it. I was happy to trade my PCP car in and buy a second hand one instead.
I was asked to get two minor bumps on my car fixed so that it would be classed as 'as new' £300+vat.
In three weeks my car went from +£1000 equity to -£130 equity.
If I buy a car from them they would write off the - equity.
They showed me a Duster with multiple scratches and a dent with an engine that was very ropy. Staying the damage will rub out and the engines sound like that!
I asked if I just handed my car back (now in mint condition), could I just walk away? Yes.
I said I'd have a think about.
I went back and said that's what I want to do, they then said because I have the car on PCP there will be a penalty to pay for early return. They also wanted me to pay for the service (£180).
I went to Motor City (Valley Road) to look at comparisons with my daughter and they had an older car, in better condition. I explained what was going on next with neighbors and they freely offered me advice and support on how to try and resolve the above issue.
They had a chinwag and eventually offered to buy my car themselves as they could see how angry I was.
I'm a veteran and I have had a bypass in leg, hence needing a car that is more comfortable than the one I have.
They showed me respect and kindness where Bristol Street Motors showed how much there wallets mean to them.
Everyone has to make money, I understand that, but don't lose site respecting the hand that feeds you.
