My sister and I travelled to Morocco over the Christmas and New Year holiday period and we had a truly fantastic experience with Morocco Culture Travel.
First off, the staff (sales, customer care and Morocco tours experts), were incredibly responsive to emails--I would be barely click send and I had a response to my questions and requests. Second, once I had let Rachid and Fatima know how much time we had and what we wanted to see, they designed an itinerary with literarily every place we would visit. They also (unlike other companies we contacted) provide the actual places we would spend the night with the website so we could check it out ahead of time and be sure it suited our needs.
Every aspect of the tour was extremely well-organized from the airport pick up to the drop off. One great aspect is we had specific and knowledgeable local guides for Marrakesh and Fes and then a separate guide to show us around the areas outside the cities. Our local guides Hamid in Marrakesh and Hassan in Fes were incredibly knowledgeable and friendly and we learned a lot from them. Our guide Mohammed in Sahara desert is a wonderful Berber man from Merzouga. He was absolutely fantastic. Knowledgeable, friendly, open-minded, and catered to our every need. We spent a lot of time with him yet had our private time as well when touring, eating, etc. The balance was perfect. He also was a very safe driver and we felt comfortable with him every moment of the trip. He is truly a wonderful person and taught us a lot about Morocco, Berber culture, Islam and whatever your political or cultural views, you will come away enlightened.
The highlights for sure was the experience of the real Morocco cooking, strolling in the colourful markets of Marrakech, visiting the tanneries in the old medina of Fes, walking in the twisted alleyways of the blue medina in Chefchaouen, discovering the genuine nomadic way of life and the trip to dunes in the Sahara with our camel ride, dinner and entertainment under an incredible starry night. The group at the luxurious camp were sweet, kind and wonderful people.
