Do a return is almost impossible

Do a return is almost impossible. On a 179€ of order, if I want to send back, just for the shipping cost are almost 70€ from Italy. They do not offer a proper return policy.

They also publicise their curtains to reduce 16db of noise. It is not true at all! I did it at home with 40 Hz frequency sound and at most I had a reduction of 5db. It is a scam.

Poor customer service with returns

Poor customer service with returns. Take ages to reply and ‘ cannot find your order’ despite receiving the order and all confirmation emails. I cannot recommend and wish I’d ordered from an alternative company.

High quality curtains, good customer service.

I have been very happy with my curtains which are of excellent quality. I subsequently ordered a second set, which had a minor manufacturing error. When I pointed out the error, Moondream's customer service replied prompty offering to send a replacement, which I have now received, without charge. Very happy with the product and the service.

I ordered and received soundproofing…

I ordered and received soundproofing curtains for the amount of 500 euros and they are, in my opinion, poor quality. I’ve decided to return them but the return postage is ridiculously high! I’ve asked the company for an alternative way of returning the products (since the shipment from their side cost much less) and they do not even reply. so far the experience is very negative: disappointing quality of the curtains, large return postage fees and inexistent customer service!

Thank you for your message. We are sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with your Moondream curtains. All our curtains are manufactured in Poland and we are very demanding in terms of quality. However if you are not satisfied, you can return them within 14 days (excl. custom orders).

As it states in our FAQ and GTS, the return fees are the responsability of the customer. Our customer service replied to you in that sense. When you asked for an alternative "since shipment cost much less on our side", we did reply and gave you an explanation on why this is a misconception.

Please rest assured that we take your opinion into account and will work to improve our return policy in the future.

Honestly a scam

Do not order, this company is a joke and a scam.

We ordered some soundproof curtains for our office - after a month with nothing arriving we emailed them to see where our order was. They said that someone called "Chronopost" had lost the invoice. Right... Then they said they would send our order ASAP.

Another month goes by, still nothing. We email again to chase the order. They say they're sending it out straightaway. We get an email telling us that we owe £73 in import charges - NOWHERE was this advertised or made clear to us before we ordered.

So we're asking for a refund but judging by the reviews on here, I doubt that's coming.

Do not waste your time or your money.

Hi Helen, thank you for your message. If we are willing to accept negative feedback, we cannot however let you make false statements.

You placed your order on our UK website. All our orders are shipped from France, therefore yes there are taxes to be paid upon delivery, as it states in bold red on our website, directly in your shopping cart and before processing the payment. Everything is also detailed in our FAQ.

Unfortunately, Chronopost (the carrier) lost the invoice and the first shipment was therefore held for a while and eventually returned to us. We already apologized for the inconvenience, but will gladly do it again. We understand that this extra delay was upsetting and offered to ship your order again, which you accepted.

You did not receive this second shipment only because you refused to pay the mandatory taxes, of which you were well aware before placing your order.

This second shipment was returned to us and refunded within 14 days following the delivery of the parcel, in accordance with our GTS and just as explained to you by email.

Scam artists!

Still waiting on a refund from 2 months ago. Items never arrived. This company seems like scam artists. They shouldn’t be allowed to trade. Wish I’d seen other reviews first!

Do NOT order from this company

Do NOT order from this company, they are fraudsters that will take your money. I ordered 2 medium sized suitcases, believing they were a UK company which they are not. Delivery was claimed to have been made with my suitcases being posted through my letterbox!!! I was in all day on the day that was stated, and no delivery was attempted, and to state they were posted is ridiculous. I contacted customer services immediately and for 3 weeks they have been ‘investigating’ with no results. I will be starting the process of fraud today, so disappointed and angry.

hi all i order something from moondream there policy to get a refund is to cancel within 1 hr i cancelled within 20 min and they would not give my money back so all buyers do not buy from these nasty people

Hi Paul, thank you for your message. Unfortunately, we are unable to find any order under your name.

Nowhere on our website does it state orders have to be cancelled within 1 hour. We can cancel an order anytime before shipment, and even in the case of a late cancelation, we ask Chronopost (our carrier) to stop the delivery and return the parcel to us. If it is not possible, we tell our customers to refuse the delivery so that it is automatically returned to us.
In all the cases listed above, the customer gets a full refund (shipping included).
Therefore we would like to kindly ask you to please refrain from insulting our employees and post such unfounded statements. Feel free to reach out to us anytime, we are happy to assist you.

Onerous terms hidden in the Ts&Cs. Terrible customer service

We ordered 3 curtains and each one turned out to be 4cm less wide than advertised. I took photos of the measurements and complained only to be told they have a 3% tolerance tucked away in the small print of their terms and conditions. To hide such an onerous term in a consumer contract is illegal under the Consumer Rights Act and equivalent EU regulations.

Customer service however were blunt, rude and failed to accept this or even apologise. So now we are left with expensive curtains that don't fit. Avoid this company!

Terrible customer service for returns

Terrible customer service for returns
We bought sound insulation curtains and decided to return them because they just didn't work where we thought they would. No problem right? You have 14 days to return and get your money back. Except you have to pay for shipping, which in our case is 76€. So now we are stuck with curtains we don't really like, or need to spend 76€ (about 15% of the total cost) to return them. In today's day of online shopping I was really floored by this. I would not recommend shopping with them given the customer service on returns.

I ordered the rattan patio set for…

I ordered the rattan patio set for $38.98 on July the 6th they took the money out of my account right away and I have never received the item beware never order from this company again there's no place on there where you can contact them even though I have an order number

Awful

Awful. Messed up my order completely then refused to refund or exchange. Currently seeking refund through PayPal as when I tried to resolve with their customer service team they were next to useless. Complete waste of money and from what I read below they don’t even work as noice cancellation

Beware

Beware! If you are not satisfied with the product, you must pay your own return postage fees. Since the products they sell are often very heavy, these fees can add up. Not satisfied with this level of service. Not a modern web shopping company.

Good customer service

I ordered 2 items and then I asked if it was possible to change the order. The customer service reply to me and was helpful. Finally I did not change my order and it arrived quite quickly, not damaged and perfectly packed.
I'm happy with the service.

Moon Nightmare

I ordered a light and soundproof curtain in a colour called 'slate' from this company's Danish website a few weeks ago. On the basis of the name and the dark grey curtain show on the accompanying photo, I assumed that I would receive a dark grey curtain. However, when the package finally arrived, the curtain in it was navy blue. On contacting the company Customer Service department, asking them to correct the error, I was told that 'slate is a mixture of blue and grey', which, even if it was true, does not explain why I was sent a navy blue curtain which does not resemble the colour shown on the website in the slightest. I was rudely told that I have to cover the expense of returning the blue curtain and the postage of a possible replacement in the right colour myself - as if I would ever dare placing another order with a company which does not seem to know the first thing about colours and does not seem to care either.

This company confirms everything the rest of Europe suspects of the French with respect to arrogance and impoliteness. Indeed, Moon Nightmare would be a much more apt name.

Cheap curtains, but very poor quality and had to pay £27 to return them!

The curtains arrived and although they were called 'Grey' online, they looked purple. The quality was pretty poor, so I decided to return them.
Offering no postage or packaging returns slips (which seems standard these days), I was forced to fork out £27.50 to return the curtains to their office in France. Unacceptable. If they don't offer free returns postage, than at least give the customer a UK based address to keep costs down. Needless to say I was very disappointed and upset.
