I have been referred to Montrose via my GP

I have been referred to Montrose via RTC for my child. I believe we have followed the process to move forward and get on the waiting list for an ADHD assessment but have heard nothing back from them and cannot get in touch to clarify - the phone just rings out with the message 'No call handler available'. I have been trying to call on a Tuesday from 9-5 for the last 5 weeks as they say this is the only time that they will take calls, but nobody answers the phone, and there is no response to email. I'm at my wits end, and have no idea how to progress this process. I feel like they don't really want to offer the service, which when people are in real need is hugely disappointing and upsetting.

Disappointed – Abandoned post-diagnosis as an NHS Right to Choose patient

I've chose Montrose services via NHS RTC option, having reviewed ADHD official website and waiting list I made my decision that I'd like to be seen sooner and having ability to chose establishment that provides ETA on for titration as 2 weeks was why I made decision to proceed with them. From referral to being seen I was impressed in lest than 3 weeks I was fully diagnosed but for the past 4 weeks my emails , calls have been ignored as I'm not private patient but rather NHS RTC therefore not priority. Extremely frustrating as I could have gone with alternative provider

I have received email and a call since.
Been advised that due to influx of referral they have a backlog to address. Happy with information as something is better than nothing

Terrible

Terrible, waste of time even trying to use this company. You can only call them on a Tuesday, tried that after a week of waiting, called over 10 times, but all I got was " No call handler available!" The website gives no answer to my question and it stated RTC messages won't be responded to! This company is obviously a money making business with no care or respect for Neurodivergent patients. I was about to go private, but no I'll take my business elsewhere. Rubbish, waste of energy and time!

I’m sorry to hear of your experience. We are experiencing particularly high call volumes at present. However, there is an option for the private referral team. We are also responding to email requests within 24 hours. If you would like to speak to someone directly to share your feedback please email me and I will respond directly.

Montrose Health group has been a life saver

Montrose Health group has been a life saver for us as a family. Dealing with teenage alcohol issues is like a black hole in terms of the NHS and other private providers. On trying to find professionals to help our daughter, all I heard was "we can't help until she's 18" and in most of those cases it was only residential help which didn't fit her needs at all.

I stumbled across Montrose, thankfully, they are entirely the opposite to the rigid delivery of care I'd heard everywhere else. We met with the programe manager, who was so reassuring, he understood!! From there we had a bespoke plan of recovery, and we've discovered something else in that journey; that our daughter has ADHD which goes a long way to explain her difficulties recently. She's now been assessed under Montrose and we're continuing her recovery with them. We've discussed lots of different options and ways to help her with Montrose, and they have the specialist professionals ready to help. Another positive is that they make the cost fair, they are definitely not out to make as much money as possible, which some may fear. I'm pretty sure we'll remember the effort and impact of Montrose for ever.

Choosing some help

Montrose did exactly what was promised. Their broad knowledge of the infinite variations of support we individuals may need, allowed them to package a truly appropriate program with a team of experts most likely to help. The time and potential false starts this has saved me is incredibly valuable.
Good luck and best wishes to anyone considering such help. I truly hope you get the support you need, I can only say, I don’t regret choosing Montrose.

Amazing help for a family member

Amazing help for a family member, caring, loving attitude has helped us all,
Apart from providing care to the one who needs it, providing comfort, empathy and confidence to the family too

Beyond Grateful

I experienced one of the Montrose retreats during a very difficult time for me and the attention to detail, the listening ear of the organizers were so speacial and rare. As a result I walked away with a sense of peace that had seemed alien to me when I arrived. I am so grateful to the whole team.

It is rare to find people who care so much in this fast paced world.
