I transferred a sizeable chunk of money…

I transferred a sizeable chunk of money into a Moneybox ISA about 8 months ago. The terms stated monthly interest. 3 months ago I wanted to withdraw some of my interest, after I made the withdrawal I noticed the balance of my ISA had reduced. It transpires that I am not able to withdraw the interest unless I withdraw all the funds from the account. I feel Moneybox is withholding my money, is this even legal?
Needless to say I will be transferring my ISA funds asap.
Unhappy customer!
I’d love to know if anyone else has noticed this?

Not happy that I opened a variable rate…

Not happy that I opened a variable rate ISA due to possibility of rates now rising.
3 days after I transferred in 40K+ they did increase rates but not for existing customers?!!? Doesn’t this defeat the purpose of a variable ISA?!
I was going to fund with another 40K with further transfers, but as a matter of principle, I’ll now go elsewhere.
Also, only provider I’ve ever come across that you can’t future date a transfer - ridiculous!

Efficient cash ISA transfer

I recently transferred a cash ISA to Moneybox because of their competitve easy access ISA rate. The procedure was straighforward and completed in a week.

Short Cash ISA Stay With Moneybox.

I moved my Cash ISA to Moneybox a couple of weeks ago at the rate of 4.26%. I now see the rate is 4.43% for new accounts. I messaged Moneybox to see if there was a way of getting this new rate, the answer was no. I've started the move to a new more competitive provider. Moneybox have messaged me to say that I can't transfer back to Moneybox after I transfer out, I guess this is to stop people moving straight back again at the higher rate.

I would of been more than happy to stay with Moneybox if they up the interest rate for me to get the same as the new customers get. I urge every Moneybox cash isa customer to see if they can get a better rate elsewhere and transfer out.

Great tech, but other cheaper good tech exists

So, I think their app and interface is fantastic from the features I have used. Where I dislike it is that the charges for what it offers with regards to investment options is very expensive when you consider there is no advice. When alternative new comers are considered like Freetrade. Also, they offer preferential interest rates to new customers but not to existing. That behaviour I expect from utility companies but newcomer tech companies I like to think they appreciate their existing customers.

Where this leads me is that I will simply treat them as a transactional piece of tech and transfer to a better rate ISA and contribute more rather than stick with them they don’t show me loyalty I don’t show them loyalty. Simple.

Suggestion having read a few more reviews who feel the same way - prioritise existing customers, make them feel special and cared about because at the end of the day it is cheaper to retain happy profitable customers than churning new ones 👌.

Can’t believe how easy to transfer over…

Can’t believe how easy to transfer over to money box. Transferred £20k ISA from my bank which is a big one. Interest from them 2.75%. Money Box double 👍 will definitely put in next years allowance 🤗. And you just watch your money grow Daily. I’m such a happy bunny Thank you money box
