Incomplete delivery, ignored complaints, and unjustified payment demands
I ordered a piece of furniture from Möbel Brotz over a year ago, and to this day I have not received the complete item – a crucial side panel is missing, making the furniture unusable.
Despite contacting Möbel Brotz multiple times via email and at least 3–4 times via their now-defunct online chat, I never received a proper solution. At one point I was told the part had been shipped, but I never received a tracking code. I was later informed that the shipping address they used was wrong – yet again, nothing arrived and I was left without follow-up. Eventually, I was simply ignored.
And yet – they continue to send me payment demands for a product that has never been delivered in full.
Under both German (BGB §§ 434, 437, 320) and Swiss (OR Art. 82) consumer law, I am not obliged to pay for an incomplete or defective product. I've made this clear to the company, but no one has taken accountability.
At this point, I’ve had to escalate the matter and involve the Verbraucherzentrale NRW (Consumer Protection).
Avoid ordering from Möbel Brotz if you expect basic customer service, legal compliance, or even the full product you paid for.
