Trying to find out what happened. £5.99 every week as a PayPal subscription that I definitely didn't authorise. Have cancelled the subscription with PayPal and requested Modo to send me details of all payments OR refund me 18 weeks of £5.99 payments.
The contact number didn't work (oh what a surprise!).
I was unaware they were taking £5.99…
I was unaware they were taking £5.99 weekly from us on PayPal- on emailing them they advised it’s for ‘access to WOW’ deals??
I don’t use wow deals so somehow they’ve obtained my PayPal details
They did email back immediately- confirmed cancellation
I’ll be chasing refund payment now without too much hope
Unbelievable they are allowed to trade at all
I was charged and no clue what for
I have no idea who or why this keeps…
I have no idea who or why this keeps trying to be taken from my PayPal account. I’ve not signed up for anything! This seems very much like a scam. I can’t find where it’s come from or how to stop it.
Having tried to raise a dispute with…
Having tried to raise a dispute with PayPal regards apparently subscribing to this company, sorely disappointed that they have not upheld my concerns and as far as I can conclude, they are collusive in this scam. I have also contacted the company direct to request a copy of the signed contract I have allegedly entered onto, no reply from them either. There does not seem to be any protection for us consumers, surely there are other options to explore? No wonder digital fraud is rife......
Absolute con
Absolute con, I "found" the payments on my paypal account like other reviews I have not signed up for them, I have no idea what they are taking the money for, I did pay at a car park and had to get an app I can only assume that's how they got to my account, its worrying how much they are managing to scam......
Feel scammed. Allegedly I subscribed via PayPal.
Apparently, I signed up to pay £5.99 a week end of October when paying for something by PayPal. I have no idea who this company is, what they do or what i am paying a subscription for, so clearly, they are not making it obvious enough, or at all. I contacted them and they stated that they can 'reassure' me that they meet legal requirements in terms of advertising and informing.. really!!? There is no way I would have signed up for this subscription. There are no emails to me welcoming me, it's all feels sneaky. I happened to see it on my bank statement, and now I am £52.06 out of pocket. They did agree to end the subscription but said, as I'm outside the 14 day window since (Not) ' signing up ' for the subscription I am not eligible for a refund. I need to contact PayPal.
Fraudulent
As with others, I was trying to pay for parking, and it looks as if they have hacked in to my Paypal account.
I saw a product on a YouTube video
I saw a product on a YouTube video on my TV that I wanted to review later, so I pressed the send to phone icon. Instead of getting more information about the product, I got an email from PayPal saying my weekly subscription (to what I don't know) would start charging my credit card $7.95 weekly starting tomorrow. Total Fraud.
Absolute scam
Absolute scam. Trying to get an answer on ULEZ charges. Directed to PayPal and automatically signed up to a weekly subscription. Immediately cancelled !
Be very careful!
I was trying to pay car park at station…
I was trying to pay car park at station and the QR code I used on the machine somehow managed to hack my paypal. I did not park my car and went to a different station car park.
The next thing I saw was that automatic recurring weekly DD payment of 5.90.
Paypal should have a stronger system.

UNAUTHORIZED DEDUCTION FROM PAYPAL
It appears to be a running theme here
☆ YOU SET UP A DIRECT DEBIT of $ 7.99 on my PayPal UNDER MODO MOBI Ltd.
☆ YOU DID NOT GET MY PERMISSION OR AUTHORIZATION TO DO SO.
☆ I WANT THE DEDUCTED AMOUNT OF $7.99 REFUNDED NOW
I was unable to give 0 star rating that is why you have one.
I HAVE DELETED YOU FROM MY PAYPAL AND REPORTED YOU. STOP THIS TOMFOOLERY NOW.

Modomobi scam
As others have described, I thought I was buying parking ticket outside Northampton General Hospital. Next thing I knew I’d authorised a regular £5.99 PayPal payment …for what ? I cancelled immediately and fingers crossed it won’t go through. PayPal need to get a grip on this right now or their reputation is through the floor. Very, very not happy.
