I accidentally bought something from…

I accidentally bought something from them this morning and instantly emailed them to cancel and request a refund. An almost instant automatic response came back to say my order hadn't shipped yet and they'd pass my refund request to a human operative to handle my request. I've just now received an email to say it's been shipped! Why?

I imagine I'll now have to go through the hoop jumping to send the item back to them and request a refund which will no doubt take weeks, rather than them just cancel it before they sent it and refund it which we all know doesn't take 14 days to process but they'll say it does anyway. Just frustrating really.

Non existent customer service

I ordered a youth swimming costume in size 10–12, but was sent the wrong item — a size 16–18 swimsuit that had been packaged inside a sealed 10–12 bag. There was no way to know it was the wrong size until the packaging was opened.

When I contacted customer service to report the error, I was told they only accept returns if the packaging is unopened, and that I would have to pay the return costs myself. So now I’m stuck with an expensive swimsuit (€75) that my child can’t wear — through no fault of my own.

I find this completely unacceptable. It was clearly their mistake, yet I’m bearing the cost. As a regular customer, I expected much better. The lack of accountability and customer support is frankly shocking.

Great products matched with great service!

My daughter loves and trusts this brand. The products are amazing and have done exactly what they say. She can leave the house feeling confident and comfortable in this underwear. She cannot wait to try the swimwear now!

After a recent query about a product the team replied immediately and were very helpful.

Poor and expensive returns policy

Poor and expensive returns policy. I ordered 2 bikini bottoms for my daughter, and when they arrived, they looked too much like knickers, so I had to send them back. I was aware that I had to pay postage to return the items, but I was charged £9.00 for two items sent in the same package. It seems a lot. I paid £33 but only received £24 back. If this happens with every return the company will be making a fortune. Definitely won't order or recommend them due to this fact !!

Not as good as it used to be

I have switched to period underwears years ago and I've always been using Modibodi, but it seems I'm going to have to change this.
I have had to buy new pairs in the recent year and all the new ones have somehow stopped working properly, or even the fabric ripped for no reason. I have always followed proper washing instructions. In comparison, I have had one pair for several years and it is still working great. Make it make sense.
With costs so high and a quality clearly going down, it's time to look into other brands.

Put off purchase by returns policy

I've bought from modibodi in the past, but not for a few years. I'd like to buy a pair of swim shorts from them, but they are £60 and there is no way to return them if they don't fit, and as others have mentioned, sizing can be variable. I don't understand why they can't use a hygiene seal like other swimwear suppliers. Unfortunately, it's not possible to discuss this with a human as their contact form is replied to by an AI agent, and it does not seem possible to contact a human. I haven't purchased as it is too high risk. Two stars in reference to the fact previous products have been good, but really this is a 1 star for today's experience.

Great product and helpful customer service

Great product, slightly big for my daughter, but we decided to keep it and use it next summer. The service of Modibodi is great, fast response, we were offered different options (credit, refund), all worked well. Will buy again.

Products reasonable quality. Rip off returns

Products reasonable quality and good for heavy periods (the shorts) but pricey.
Returns process is an utter rip off and I wouldn't recommend Modibodi because if it.
Items are only returnable if the packet hasn't been opened. My daughter is 12 and girl's size varies so much at this age. It's ridiculous that I couldn't even open the pack to hold the items against her.
Also you have to pay to return items. This is all so outdated and excludes those who might be a non-average shape and need to see the size of items.

Awful design & returns policy

Awful design & returns policy. Swimsuit sizing is off but you can only tell if something fits by opening the packaging obviously. Once opened, you can’t return. So left with a swimsuit I can’t & wouldn’t want to wear (style is odd and fit is awful). Definitely won’t be purchasing anything from Modibodi again. Lesson learnt.

Asked for a cancellation

Asked for a cancellation within 5 minutes . They then asked for confirmation. Then after I confirmed they said they couldn't because it had been over 5 minutes. Awful company to deal with if you place an order by mistake. I now face returning an item , possibly at coat to myself. I was going to order swimming bottoms but I have now decided to use a different company based on my experience.

They said they would cancel and didn't. Reaching out to me. Worst AI customer service ever! Considering contacting watchdog .

Awful customer service using AI who wrote about feeling upset, AI doesn’t have emotions! Sizing all wrong, no clear terms and conditions for the introductory code and they charge you to return the items they sent. Sizing not consistent

Product half useless, and company won’t stop emailing me

Purchased the sleep set.

Top was great, bottoms were AWFUL. Soooo so tiny - like, I have a friend with a playboy sleep set and her shorts are bigger than these.

But what REALLY put me off then is that they WILL NOT STOP emailing you. Even if you don’t sign up for marketing, you’ll get at least a couple emails a month asking for a review, or for you to recommend for a friend or whatever… what they call ‘transactional emails’, so they can get around the fact you opted out of marketing, and send you emails anyway… kind of disgusting behaviour.

Will not buy from them again and hopefully they delete my account as has been requested so I can finally stop getting emails to review/recommend a product I didn’t even like (and have already reviewed several times)

Awful customer service won't buy again. £5 shipping for each item which is insane as they are so small and then £5 to return when they sent me the wrong size!!

Absolutely disgraceful customer…

Absolutely disgraceful customer service. They sent the incorrect order to me. I then had to pay for postage back and when I missed it by one day they refused to refund me. Honestly the most appalling customer service. Do not use. Scammers. Now they have replied see below but they are still not allowing me to return the item and they use AI for their customer service which is useless.

We tried the swim wear

We tried the swim wear. Useless! Thankfully tried it in the bath first. Was all great until started splashing about in the water. Then it leaked. Was running down our legs. Followed all the instructions. Bottoms were tightly fitted etc. no good In water. Complete waste of money.

I love the idea of this and the quality…

I love the idea of this and the quality was lovely, but the 'super absorbant' knickers that are designed for heavy periods did not contain the blood, I leaked everywhere and found myself changing them to another pair within an hour. I got the super absorbant ones as I do suffer with heavy periods. I've tried everything out there, it's a shame as I spend a lot of money on these only to be disappointed 😪 I'll have to go back to regular pads. If you have very heavy flow, don't waste your money.

Great for us plus size gals!

I was thinking of ordering for such a long worried about sizing and quality. As a plus size (size 24/26) I was worried they’d be too small or tight but I was wrong and they were very comfortable with lots of stretch. I’d definitely recommend giving them a go! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Returns are unnecessarily difficult

Sizing is inconsistent, and you can't return items that have been opened if you want to try them on.
The returns and exchange process is bad. They don't generate return labels. You have to fill in a reason for return for every individual item, then download a return form to print where you have to fill in all the info again.
The products themselves are OK, but if you don't get the right items the first time, it costs a lot of time and money.
