Mocko.ai not good for TEF preparation

⚠️ Broken AI Service & No Customer Support
[Update: I successfully got all my money back via bank dispute.]

I spent $202.72 on Mocko.ai(purchased in Dec, 2025) for TEF preparation, and it is a total failure. The AI is broken — it marks correct answers as "Wrong" even when they match the audio perfectly. The product does not do what it promises.

My Evidence (What I said is true. Message me if you need me to provide evidence, or visit the profile of Reddit user "u/HongyuShen7936" to check the pinned original post with screenshots):
1. 100% Error Rate: I did 5 random tests. Each time, I answered only the first listening question, recorded the audio, took a screenshot then went to result. Every single time, the AI marked my correct answer as "Wrong."
2. Unable to review any listening question in mock exam: The review page crashed with a coding error: "Something went wrong while showing your report. examContext.Provider is missing!"
3. No Correct Answers Provided: In the listening mock exam, the system flags your answers as "Wrong" but doesn't tell you the correct answers.
4. Inaccurate Grading: I recorded a full listening test in mock exam and converted the audio to text. The AI claimed I got 29 wrong (especially a weird pattern from Q3 to Q14). I compared these with ChatGPT and Gemini, and both confirmed that my answers should be 29 correct and 11 wrong.

Note: Actual questions are not shown here because of their policy("You agree not to share, sell, or redistribute content from Mocko.ai without written permission"), but I have submitted full video/PDF evidence to my bank.

Their policy claims "All payments are final and non-refundable, regardless of usage or performance outcomes.", which contradicts the law in British Columbia, Canada. This is NOT LEGAL when the service is functionally broken. Their policy cannot override consumer protection laws. They should be more familiar with the laws if they want to do business in BC.

This company basically ignores customer support emails. If you are in the same boat, do not let them keep your money. Their "No Refund" policy is NOT LEGAL when the product is broken.

HOW TO GET YOUR MONEY BACK (Step-by-Step):
1. Ignore their "No Refund" rule: Law overrides their internal policy.
2. Keep a Record: Send one formal refund email. If they don’t reply within 48 hours, take a screenshot of your sent email as proof.
3. Contact your Bank: Log in to your Banking App (BMO, RBC, TD, CIBC, etc.).
4. Dispute the Transaction: Find the Mocko.ai payment in your history and click "Dispute Transaction."
5. Quote the Law: In your reason, write: "The service violates the BC Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act [RSBC 2004] because the product is defective."
6. Evidence is Key: Record audio and take screenshots of the AI’s mistakes. When the bank asks for files, send them in.
7. The 30-Day Rule: The bank will freeze their money. Mocko.ai has 30 days to prove their broken AI works (which they can’t). If they fail, you get your money back for good.
8. Don't wait: You have 120 days from the date of purchase to file this dispute. If you encountered these issues 3 months ago, you are still eligible to file a dispute and recover your funds.

I got the refund confirmation email in 5 business days(plus several days to process depending on the bank), and strangely the official merchant is "SparkBridge Incubator LTD", a name that was nowhere to be found on the Mocko.ai website at the time of my purchase(Dec 2025).

Actually it violated Section 46 (failure to disclose legal name) of the BC Consumer Protection Act, and Section 21 (2) says "consumer may cancel a direct sales contract not later than one year". This can be quoted to the bank.

Don't let them keep your money for a broken service. Stop being a victim. Start a dispute today.

P.S. Better free alternatives: The Youtube channel "TEF SUCCESS" has 60+ listening test practices with answer keys. ChatGPT can generate 40 reading questions of TEF with answer keys for free.

Scam website

Scam website. They advertise with 7 days free trail and charge you right away. Also the tests are not at all similar to TEF format. AI gives you useless and so simple questions that even non-french learners can answer. No customer service, no support.. wasted my money and time on this. Really regretting now.
