Responsible for bait and switch scam
Responsible for bait and switch scam. My initial quote was $3400. After putting about 1/3 of my belongings on the truck, and company returned and said I had “too much stuff,” despite already going through everything I owned and said my new quote was $19000. Then they wanted more money to cancel and take my belongings off the truck. I was forced to cancel my flight and drive the remainder across the country myself. Laughably malevolent scam. Upon researching the company they brokered me with, they have an F rating with the better business bureau, and there are 100s of reviews of the same bait and switch scam, including taking advantage of elderly people and those with disabilities/disabled children. It’s bewildering how they’re still in business and the owners aren’t in prison. Currently in the midst of suing all parties involved
