BEWARE!!!!

As Director of Palmgrove Road Pty Ltd, I engaged MLK Group Pty Ltd as trustee for MLK Marketing for digital marketing services in 2024, including SEO and Google Ads, based on their representations of significant business growth, increased website traffic, and a three-month money-back guarantee. Unfortunately, my experience did not align with these promises.
After entering into a contract with MLK Marketing, the results fell well short of what was represented. Despite assurances of increased web traffic and sales, our business saw no such improvements. The Magistrates’ Court of Victoria recently found that MLK Marketing made misleading and deceptive representations that induced us to enter the agreement. The Court awarded substantial damages to Palmgrove Road Pty Ltd, recognising the loss and damage suffered as a result of MLK’s conduct.
Importantly, the Magistrate found that of the total amount of $45,193.40 charged to my company the actual value was only $3,390.00 and ordered MLK Marketing to pay my company $41,793.40 for loss and damage under the contract and dismissed MLK’s claim for unpaid invoices of $10,216.39. This stark disparity was a key factor in the Court’s decision to award compensation.
Following this decision, MLK Group Pty Ltd was put into liquidation to avoid paying the judgment and costs of $50k. I have also recently taken Mr Michael Kamitsis (aka Michael Kefeilati) the former director of MLK Marketing to court where he was found to have personally engaged in deceptive and misleading conduct during the proceeding in breach of the Civil Procedure Act.
I would strongly caution other businesses to be wary of marketing promises that sound too good to be true. My experience, now confirmed by a court decision, highlights the importance of transparency and honesty in business dealings. I cannot recommend MLK Marketing based on our experience and the findings of the Magistrates’ Court. Also, I am amazed that MLK Marketing is still trading given that both MLK Group Pty Ltd and MLK Group International Pty Ltd have been put into liquidation!! BEWARE!!!

I’m sharing my personal experience with…

I’m sharing my personal experience with MLK Marketing to help others make an informed decision.
I engaged MLK Marketing for website and marketing services including SEO, but the service I received did not meet the standard I expected. After the amazing sales pitch I was left with many website errors which I had to continuously overlook and ask them to fix. Over time, this left me with little confidence that my project was being handled properly.

Because the matter couldn’t be resolved directly, I took a formal dispute to NCAT. The Tribunal found in my favour and ordered a full refund, along with the return of my website credentials. While I was relieved with the outcome, I’m disappointed to say that, to date, those orders have not been actioned and my attempts to finalise this have not been successful. I have tried to reach out to MLK via email and phone calls to various staff who have all not responded to any communication. As a result, I am now having to take the next legal steps to enforce the decision.
This has been a stressful, time-consuming experience that I wouldn’t want another small business owner to go through. Based on my experience, I can’t recommend MLK Marketing

Buyer Beware. Don't fall for the sales pitch.

I have written a review before but it seems to have been removed. I got another letter today from a debt collection agency. That is two debt collectors and one lawyer so far. Please read on.

I got tricked into signing up with MLK with promises of fixing my website "immediately" on the "condition" that I host my website with them. In fact they refused to help me if I did not host my website with them. I should have taken that as a warning but I was desperate to get my website fixed, and they had a very saavy phone sales person who I believed. - Stupid me.

My IT guy was overseas at the time and they claimed they could not reach him. My IT guy said they never tried to contact him. Nether the less they screamed at me on the phone demanding I give them the DNS records. Which I couldn't as I have no idea how the website works.

I was told I could cancel within three months of signing up if I was not happy and as they had done nothing for three weeks (after I paid them over $4000 dollars) I cancelled the contract. Even if they did not have my hosting they still could have done some marketing. But they didn't as it is all about getting control of your website.

I was one of the lucky ones who did not host with them. I have heard he held other companies to ransom withholding their website for unpaid fees (most likely for poor performance). So the owner is still trying to sue me after 4 years now for $39,000 - what he claims is the total owed for the contract.

I have been on the brink of bankrupcy for 4 years now hanging on by the skin of my teeth, and was discussing selling my business just this week, as I am not making any money and am in severe debt. Any money I may make from the sale of the business will barely cover the debts. But they don't beleive me. They seem to think I have some hidden stash of money. If I did I would sue them for the $4000 I paid them for which I never got any work done for that money. But somehow they think they are in the right.

My Legal aid lawyer (I'm on a pension now with no income and barely surviving) tells me they don't have a leg to stand on. But the stress of worrying about this is not helping me. My fridge is bare and I've lost 2 kilos this week. However if they take me to court legal aid told me they can counter sue.

So a big warning to any one signing up with MLK Marketing. Buyer beware. What ever you do, DO NOT HOST your website with them. Trust me it is not worth the agravation and you will likely loose your website and have to pay someone else to set it up again. There are better marketers out there. You just have to find one and that is the hard part. Don't fall for their sales pitch. Keep your webhosting and your marketing separate. That is the best advice I can give.
Just beware of what you are signing up for. And get a lawyer to go over the contract before you sign anything with them. It might cost you $500 bucks but it will save you thousands in the end if they keep your website and deny you access.
I hope this helps at least one person from making the same mistake I did.

Poor leadership, internal sabotage, and zero respect for expertise

I don’t write many reviews, but this one is necessary. I’m a digital marketing strategist with over two decades of experience. I was brought in to work on MLK Marketing’s internal projects — including their Business Centre and EntertainmentGR — to drive real results using proven ad and SEO strategies.

I had direct conversations with the CEO, who approved a clear scope of work. Everything was discussed transparently: running ads, generating leads, boosting ticket sales, and helping clean up the company’s poor internal marketing processes. I agreed, and I went all in.

Unfortunately, the real leadership turned out to be a mid-level manager named Nelson, who quickly made it clear that he, not the CEO, was calling the shots. He blocked my access to essential platforms, dismissed the approved scope, and refused to collaborate — while continuing to demand performance results I had no tools to deliver.

Even with those restrictions, I personally paid to renew my own SEO tools and ran over 20 audits on their client websites. I flagged serious issues — indexing errors, GMB problems, broken metadata, missing analytics setups. I stayed up late delivering reports and recommendations.

They ignored them.

When the company’s SEO rankings dropped by over 5,000+ keywords, I was suddenly useful again — until I asked for basic access or compensation. Then I was ghosted, stonewalled, and told I was just “a consultant for ads.”

To make things worse, I had left a short review early in the process and was asked to take it down in exchange for future work. I agreed, giving them the benefit of the doubt. That work never came. This is clearly a pattern: promise access and payment to get your expertise, then disappear once they’ve extracted what they want.

This company operates with chaotic internal politics, zero respect for skilled contractors, and a clear habit of blaming external partners for their own poor execution.

If you’re a serious professional thinking of working with them: don’t.
If you’re a client thinking of hiring them: ask who’s actually doing the work.
Because if you dig even a little, you’ll find the same cracks I did — and you’ll be the one paying for their failure to fix them.

Very unethical and deceitful company

Very unethical and deceitful company. You agree to operate on a month to month performance base review and continue with their services if you are happy with it. They then con you to signup a contract and charge you for a minimum 12 months to pay regardless if they do any work or not for you. The managers are inexeperienced and unprofessional and don't even follow your instructions. They achieve poor results and use all your budget and expect them to keep paying them to deal with offshore workers. I strongly recommend to stay right away from this company and don't engage in any of their services.

Mlkmarketing scamers…

Scams small businesses and fails to provide SEO services paid for.
Has own overseas companies writing glowing reviews and doing IT work and not paying them.
Fail to provide services paid for and then destroy website.
Refuse to pay 3 month guarantee when they fail dismally to provide any service. They try to steal your Domain name and I have evidence to prove this.
