Installation was handled relatively well, although issues matching window furniture, and a lot of extras over quoted price. Rebalancing of sashes leaves a fair bit to be desired - definitely not 'finger light' as the literature promises - most ended up more difficult to open and shut than before. Condensation issues persist, which whilst not promising a resolution, it doesn't really seem much better than it was. For the cost, it doesn't feel like money well spent on our property

Our relationship with M&D goes back years. Their way of secondary glazing has enabled us to retain our wooden sash windows but greatly improve their performance and energy-efficiency. Recently we have used them for another phase of window improvements, and again appreciate the quality, appearance and functionality of their work.

Mitchell & Dickinson were extremely helpful with the process of applying for listed building consent and gave me a very clear understanding of how my Grade II listed windows would be restored and how their CosyGlazing system would be applied. The standard of workmanship was very high and the team, run by Tony, worked calmly and efficiently with minimal disruption.
The benefit of finally having windows that fit correctly, are draught-free, and have secondary glazing panels to combat the coastal gales is wonderful and I highly recommend their system.

M&D undertook a project to restore and install secondary glazing to three large sash windows in my Grade II listed flat. From start to finish the service has been impeccable, the survey and workmen were all friendly and highly knowledgable. I am extremely pleased with the final result which is subtle and in keeping with the property. I can highly recommend them to anyone wishing to reinvigorate their property.

I was called i. Response to my request to repair a small window in my Grade 2 listed property. The person that called said that he would probably only be able to help if it was part of a larger repair/renovation project. I thought that was very short sighted of them. Particularly as I am retired and of limited funds. Why couldn't they just fit in a small job - left me with a bad feeling towards the company!

Your reply only shows how disinterested in my request you were. I didnt receive any advice from you or recommendations. You dismissed my enquiry as being too small for you to be interested.

I can't fault Mitchell & Dickinson.
The whole experience from start to finish was trouble free. Arturo and Tom who came to do the work were very polite and worked around us with sensitivity as we were continuing to hold clinics throughout. They were clean and tidy, and made the works as stress free as possible.
I won't hesitate to use them again for the next phase of remedial work.

Right from the start where Jay gave a very intelligent oversight of what we could do to our draughty georgian house, through the excellent customer service and the fitting it was great. Luke and Zac were excellent in rebuilding our windows. Thoughtful, keeping us informed and a pleasure to have in our house. The work looks great.

We have just had Mitchell & Dickinson install secondary glazing throughout our Grade 2 listed house. We have an eclectic mix of windows (sash, casement, sliding and french windows) and have put up with draughts and condensation through the winter for years and we struggled to open a number of our windows. The M&D team have been excellent from start to finish with real craftsmanship and a sensitivity to working around us and our family home. The sash windows have been expertly restored and open beautifully and we are very impressed with the end result. Thank you.

We had secondary double glazing installed by Mitchell and Dickinson last September so we have now been through three seasons. The whole process from first enquiry to completion was without fault. The survey was excellent and the team who came to do the work were excellent. We only use the property part time (not being there was useful, they bring a surprising amount of kit!) but this was to prepare for a full move this year. We were kept up to date with any installation issues that occurred. I don’t know whether it is psychological but with an extra layer of glazing the house ‘felt’ warmer when we were there during the winter and I think it has helped with heat retention on some big sash windows. We had an issue with condensation. This has not been completely resolved, probably about 90% so nearly there.

The end result is elegant and the engineered and draft proofed windows glide open and shut with ease. The house was left neat, tidy and clean.

These windows were not cheap, but this is a high quality product. I am happy to give five stars

The team worked really hard to finish on time and were helpful, respectful of our privacy as well as being super friendly. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Mitchell and Dickinson to my friends. It is an expensive project but well worth the cost in my opinion.

The whole experience couldn’t have been better. Luke and the team did a great job transforming windows which we daren’t open into ones which have made the flat look the best it’s been. The flat has been left spotless. We weren’t living in the flat but we were kept uptodate with photos. From our first contact with Mitchell & Dickinson, everything has been done with first class efficiency. Contact from the office has been very good and informative and the workmen coming to assess, measure and then fit the CosyGlazing to all our windows has been second to none.

A really excellent service from Harry, Nico and Egan. They did a very professional job with painstaking attention to detail and working round the vagaries of our home life - including a new cat! The Cosyglazing finished product looks really smart, very unobtrusive and in keeping with our Grade II cottage. Now we need to wait for a frosty day to see/feel the full effect of the secondary glazing.

I don’t normally leave reviews, however we have now completed two phases of work with Mitchell & Dickinson. Both experiences have been faultless, from the initial enquiry through to the teams that installed the CosyGlazing and the insulation we had fitted to the vaulted ceiling in our bedroom. The craftsmanship is impressive and the team were all polite, efficient and kept everything clean and tidy. We are already noticing the benefits – our farmhouse is so much warmer.
