This clinic discriminated against my 76-year-old mother!
My mother was booked in for a Hydra Facial for an hour. She called me after 40 minutes saying that the treatment was done and she was asked to leave.
I called the clinic to speak to Debbie Sandison, the manager. I was explicitly told by Debbie that my mother’s treatment was cut short due to her not conversing with the practitioner! I was advised due to my mother not been able to speak English and make conversation, the practitioner just did what she needed to. I fail to understand how an hours treatment is cut short by 20 minutes due to lack of conversation. Was I paying for a treatment or a chat? Please note that English is not my mother’s spoken language. I could not believe what I was hearing.
I decided to contact Dr Alison Brooks to escalate the matter however I was sent an email by her saying that a call was not needed, that the relationship had ended and that my mother and I are not allowed to contact them for services moving forward.
I am in the midst of taking my experience to the press, however I wanted to share my experience so that you are able to make an informed decision about using the services at the Mirabel Clinic. If you are looking to avoid being racially targeted and/or are of a certain age, steer clear of this clinic and Dr Brooks.
I’ve been so wary of getting any semi or more permanent treatment done in the past. The expertise and ethos of the clinic convinced me to give them a try. I love the results and shall be back for more
