Awful customer service - avoid at all costs!

Awful customer service - avoid!

I try to support veteran companies and was pleased to find militarystores.co.uk / militarymugs.co.uk who responded very quickly to my request for ~ 100 personalised unit mugs. The design was professional and I was content with the price. Initially, Mark Darley (owner) was swift to reply to any name adjustments/queries but once my invoice was paid, I had no further communications from him. He stated when payment was received, the mugs would be posted next day delivery (on the following Monday). Unfortunately, no delivery was received that week - subsequent multiple emails requesting a tracking number were ignored and both phones numbers given went straight to voicemail.

At this point I became concerned that I had been scammed due to the prolonged radio silence and absence of mugs... I continued leaving voicemails for 2 weeks to no avail. Eventually a colleague with more spare time and a dislike of cowboys managed to track down the order, it took 2 days of hounding Mark Darley with ~20 calls from different phone numbers and ultimately posing as a new customer. Even then Mark Darley refused to talk on the phone, instead relaying through a third person holding his phone.

When eventually, begrudgingly, given the correct tracking number, it turned out that my parcel had been sent to an incorrect address, not the one I had specifically requested. They refused to rectify this and I ended up driving to collect them myself.

Buying from this company was extremely stressful and they exhibited the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. Avoid at all costs!
