Really well organised events, great people and an overall fantastic experience!
Have taken part in both the initial 500 point speed hammer event and the first doubles event and they were a blast.
For any beginners looking for an entry point to tournament play this is a fantastic place to start, as for those sharks looking for a challenge, I'll see you on the top tables.
I've been to two SpeedHammer events, and I've found them to be well run and with an extremely friendly crowd. There's something for everyone, the father & son combos, the tournament newbies and the veteran gamers all have a place. Honestly not had a bad game. Also as an added bonus where the games are played at smaller points it's really easy for you to build paint and get wargaming, nowhere near as daunting as running a 2k behemoth!
Despite being on the 40K hobby for many years, I'd never taken the plunge and entered a gaming event. Last year my brother and I entered one of MLWs Speedhammer Doubles events and we did not regret it. Mike was super friendly and inclusive both on the day and in the build up/aftermath of the event. There were players of all ages and abilities at the event and everyone we played in the tournament was incredibly friendly. We have signed up to our second doubles event already and I intend to go to some singles events in the future too.
Whether you're a beginner or veteren of the hobby, I highly recommend checking out a MLW event.
Played 3 Tournaments with MLW and have had a great experience every time,
I just started playing tournaments, and the first tournament was at an MLW event and never looked back.
Highly recommend for new players who are looking to play their first tournaments.
For my first steps into tournament play I cannot recommend these events strongly enough.
Fun ,friendly ,well organised and a wonderful bunch of opponents who are so welcoming.
This is simply a winning cocktail of enjoyment that will see me returning time and time again. The on going support of the community mid life have built welcome s newbies and veterans alike
For me, a great intro to Warhammer tournaments. An amazingly inclusive bunch of people and Mike the organiser is very responsive to any questions and help!
