I have concerns about this company ..

I have concerns about this company ... it doesn't pass the sniff test.

I recently purchased a high-potency Vitamin D3 / K2 supplement from them. They claim it's "manufactured in the USA". They only ship to US addresses, however ... I'm in Canada (25 miles from the US border), so I had to order through their distributor iHerb that does ship outside the US (although iHerb doesn't do it well).

That's one of the first things that raised an eyebrow about this company. In a FAQ section of their website at microingredients_dot_com they say that they "ship to most countries worldwide. International shipping times vary by location." Yet on their Shipping policy page they state: "At this time, Micro Ingredients does not offer shipping to international locations or U.S. territories, including Puerto Rico, Guam, and others. However, for customers outside the continental United States, we recommend purchasing through our trusted partner, iHerb, which offers international shipping options."

(iHerb has its own problems; they have absolutely no customer support; you can't email someone, can't talk to someone, can't have an online chat with someone. All they have is an AI chatbot that mostly exists to deflect legitimate questions.)

Micro Ingredients heavily advertises its products on social media, and seems to have a lot of "customer reviews" with the same wording. They claim in advertising that their D3 product is not made from sheep's wool (as most D3 supplements are), and in fact their online ads focus heavily on this point. Yet the package ingredients merely say "cholecalciferol" which is most often obtained from Lanolin (sheep's wool). I'm not vegan, but I am interested in clarity and honesty. They claim in their advertising to be third-party tested, but there is no label on the package identifying a third-party tester, as one would usually see if a testing lab was involved. None of the alluring claims in their ads appear on their packaging. They say on their website that they will show you third party lab test reports upon request; I made that request, providing the lot number, but several days later haven't even received an acknowledgment.

Digging around, I'm seeing several reports that the ingredients actually come from China but might be packaged in the US to obtain a "Made in USA" claim. Yet there are signs that there's even more to it than that.

There's a website based in Frankfurt, Germany that is identical to the US Micro Ingredients website, in English not German, with the same products, at the URL microingredientspro_dot_com. That site does ship to Canada, whereas the US site (headquarters Montclair CA) does not. Then there's a company called VitalHeal (vitalheal_dot_co) based in Gothenburg, Sweden that also sells an identical product; even the packaging is identical, with the same layout and illustrations. The only difference is the brand name at the top of the package is Vitalheal instead of Micro Ingredients.

All of this suggests several companies that are merely serving as distribution channels for a Chinese manufacturer. That in itself is not a problem (we all buy stuff from China) but the efforts to deceive are. They raise questions about what else they might be hiding. (The gelcaps, ostensibly containing 10,000 IU of Vitamin D, are smaller than gelcaps from other manufacturers containing only 1000 IU.) Maybe the product is fine, but they seem disinterested in demonstrating that.

I just don't trust them with my health. I'm throwing this stuff out and purchasing a product from a Health Canada licensed and regulated manufacturer. (I'd return it to iHerb but there's no way to talk to that company and it's not worth $50 to me to keep chasing after them.)

I have been using Astathanzin

I have been using Astathanzin, Vit D, Lioposomal C, Saffron, Pumpkin oil, oil of oregano, and NMN, berberine.... for a while now. I have zero issues, always delivered quickly, and cost-effectively. I get them right off TikTok, never an issue. I do tend to go directly to the MI shop and not sellers' ads just to be sure of authenticity. I'm guessing the people who experience issues have been scammed.

I must admit I’m quite content…..

I’ve been taking Micro Ingredients vitamins for over 5 months now; Ashwaganda, Magnesium Glycinate, D3 + K2, Zinc Quercetin, Omega 3, Selenium and Black Seed Oil. I take them at different times throughout the day, some with food and some without, depending on the directions.

I started taking them to help with a few health issues and deficiencies and must admit I’m quite content. I’ve been sleeping better, my digestion has improved, and I’ve noticed steadier energy throughout the day. At my 3-month checkup, my labs actually showed improvement, which made me feel even more confident sticking with them. I also haven’t experienced any negative side effects.

I’ve stuck with them for months now, which says a lot because I tend to switch brands pretty easily. I’ve ordered from their Amazon storefront and directly from their website, and I haven’t had any issues with either. When I order directly from their website, shipping has taken anywhere from 3 days to about 2 weeks, but I don’t mind at all because my orders have always arrived correctly. I haven’t needed to contact customer service since every order has been smooth and accurate.

Overall, I plan to keep ordering from them and definitely recommend Micro Ingredients.

0/0 Don't recommend

25 days since I made a purchase, and I haven't received my product or received any updates. There is no phone number to call and talk to a person. It's a continuous email request to wait for 72 hours until they get back to you, but nothing gets really resolved.

Love this brand

Love this brand! I use a number of their supplements and couldn't feel better. Very happy with the quality of their products, customer service, speed of the delivery, easy to swallow, and that I am supporting a US company.

Thanks for making good products accessible!

Good Experience

I ordered peanut powder, D3-K2, and Astaxanthin. I placed my order on their website. My Products arrived in about three days with free shipping to NY. So far all my products are of visibly good quality, and the same for the packaging.

The powdered peanut butter is better nutritionally than anything else I've been able to find, lower in carbs with no added sugars or sodium. It was also the best price available. My only complaint was the ziploc not working to reseal the package on a 4lb bag.

Look up lawsuits for this company

Just found out the MCT oil powder I’ve been taking FOR 2 YEARS may contain LEAD!! There are ongoing lawsuits apparently with this company for lead in their products.
Now I am detoxing these metals from my body. I am so disappointed. I really liked some of their supplements.

Many scammers, but direct off their website…

I see a lot of negative reviews about not receiving orders etc. All I can say is that I have been buying their products, off their website, NOT Amazon for over a year and I receive them quickly with no hidden reoccurring subscriptions etc. One particular product, Oil of Oregano/Blackseed oil seems to be very strong (which is a good thing). I have seen many products being shown as micro ingredients based on scammers using the almost exact same bag/images on Amazon so it looks like many of the bad reviews are not buying the real product! I’d suggest buying straight from their website.
