Merkur scam , the regulations know they are scam , "employment" "tax" only so merkur bought the regulations & government & high street councils users employment as there scam defence also the camera face recognised technology they us to scam there costomers its a real threat to society for vulnerable people , i know i lossed alot here they need to be stopped

This company just wants your money. There latest promotion. " Come in and play then listen for the klaxon for your chance to win up to £10 pound cash match ". By then I had lost a significant amount of money so there promo was just to get you to gamble more. They supposed to offer you refreshments. I was offered none, the lady just continued playing on her phone and talking to the other member of staff. When the Klaxon did go off what a pathetic effort the staff made, Favourites first. Those are the mugs who keep these in a job with there pension money or benefit money.

Utter scam of a place ! I tried these crooks for 3 months as an alternative to the bookies as I like playing slots however at any of their land shops it’s criminally bad ! You lose £100 quicker than the staff can make a coffee! If by some miracle you get a bonus you might get back 20% of what’s its cost to get at best!

People stay out of these arcades, the machines are fixed and don't pay out. I was playing the 500-1 roulette and didn't win anything. I put £700 in and it didn't pay anything out. The key bet was at 100 +. They are scamming people. Stay out. I will be taking this further. gaming commission will be informed as I want these investigated. They are robbing people.

Staff members attitude. Me and my friends used to be regular usually we’d visit on a night time,

The staff at merkur in the burton branch at night time are usually really good some we could even have a good chat and a bit of a laugh and joke with,

On this occasion we was met with such attitude from a staff member who calls himself JC, the usual lady was having a break I believe, and we was met with attitude from this JC who demanded ID from my friends,

Unfortunately they didn’t have ID with them and was demanded to leave the venue, and it wasn’t in a polite was it was more of a commanding way like they was naughty children,

I’d decided to stay and play a few games, wasn’t offered a drink or snacks he just kept looking at me like I was doing something wrong, I tried to ignore him and carried on playing.

During play I need to use the rest room, upon leaving the rest room I saw this JC was hanging around the door like he was listening to me go to the toilet and looked at me as if I was on drugs or something. I felt unwelcome and like I was a burden to him being there like I’d disturbed him from doing nothing. Wouldn’t normally see him as I believe he’s always in the office like he thinks he’s a manager. Certainly walks about with a self importance attitude.

If this is the kind of thing to expect from staff then I will not be returning in future.
Which is a shame because other staff are all decent people, I feel sorry for any staff members that have to work with this JC (which I heard someone call him ALEX)

What do i do if someone haf stolen money from the machine i was aying. Man got caught on the camera amd printed the ticket and cash out. Does anyone know hkw to go about it? Does merkur supposes to give some back? Its on their syster that its been printed out amd man ran away with the cash.

Save your time and money, these places don't care about your wellbeing or addiction can tell you from experience the staff don't care how much money you lose they fail to identify problem gamblers or interact with you, its down to the customer to tell staff they've got a problem and then have to self exclude spent several hours on the machines playing 2 machines at once, and not 1 staff member intervened,

Today I was in welling branch as usual playing but I’m never going back again because the staff name raaj ( Indian lady) very rude to me , no wonder venue is quiet. I’m a regular there , but no more .. don’t wanna see that rude face specially when I’m gambling.its a gambling venue where staff stands literally next to you as if you are robbing the venue .please imagine losing £700 and still had to face her literally standing back of like a bouncer !!!

Merkur Slots. Banbury branch, has a no matching money voucher. Use to be £5 or £10. This was at the order of site manager. The Reading branch is very bubbly and helpful. Shame the Banbury branch has lost many customers and that is a fact. The venue needs new management and understanding staff. 😃🍹

Visited Merkur Slots in Deptford recently and was shocked at the state of the roulette machines. Out of the four machines available:
1. The first had a broken top screen and was unusable.
2. The second wouldn’t even turn on.
3. The third took £350 from me without a single payout – not even a minor return.
4. The fourth wouldn’t allow me to deposit money at all.

To make matters worse, the cash machine inside the venue wasn’t working and wasn’t allowing anyone to withdraw money. It felt suspicious – like a deliberate tactic to keep players stuck without cash access while faulty machines continue to take in money and give nothing back.

Think about it – how often does your TV, PlayStation, or computer suddenly stop working completely? These constant “faults” on every single roulette machine at the same time feel far from accidental.

Honestly, it’s hard not to feel like these venues are designed to exploit customers and manipulate machines in their favour. I would warn anyone thinking of playing here – save your money and stay well clear. These places aren’t entertainment – they’re traps.

Customer service is exceptional. Safer gambling is promoted, easily accessible and readily available. Cannot fault the company.

I have never seen a shop run so poorly. I went back to this shop after not going for almost a year. It has changed owners but that didn't improve the level of service.

There are always technical issues with the machines like ticket won't print, or the machine boots you out on a bonus，or the cash machine is broke and customers are asked to come back the next day to collect their winnings.

Even the ATM machine that used to be there has issues, it would deduct your bank balance without dispensing cash. I ended up have to resolve the issue at the bank.

The shop now has a security guard, whereas they did not before. One of the guards there would hassle you for a tip when he sees a bonus and thinks you've won. Very unprofessional and feels like extortion.

I go to other gaming shops and occasionally tip the staff when I win without them pestering. It's solely my decision.

Been to Merkur in Shipley 3 times,first time lost £1000 and didn't win a single jackpot (which is only £100) 2nd visit,spent £900 on same machine,lost every penny,NO Jackpot,max win approx £40. The 3rd time another £960 and still NO WIN ABOVE £35 got onto bonus round numerous times,and won either A FIVER or £2. The most Appalling place ever for entertainment. Was even just considering trying out the one in Bradford town centre tonight,but after reading on here it seems everyone has the same terrible experiences. GAMBLING COMMISSION SHOULD INTERVENE AND CLOSE THEM ALL DOWN ASAP!!
