subscription duration shortage
I have been a long time subscriber as I see the need to support journalism. When I started my subscription the 13 week/7day price was reasonable but like many things the cost kept going up. I would call the customer service office and they would agree to the old price and terms. But after covid they kept using the tired "supply chain" excuse to shorten the term of 13 weeks without a calculation of how they came up with this. This went on for years until I finally got tired of this excuse since covid has been over for 6 years now. Their stated print price subscription is negotiable if you want a hard copy every day although the weekday paper is quite thin. With this behavior I'm not surprised the newspaper industry is in decline. I am no longer a subscriber. Feels similar to "cutting the cord" with cable tv.
