I've been a mentor for about 4 years at MentorCruise. From all platforms out there it's my favorite, as you get a lot of support, it's flexible, and are able to do everything in the app itself, as in scheduling calls, allowing mentees to pay for their mentorship, etc. From the mentor's perspective it's been great and I have the feeling mentees seem to enjoy as well

The interface and process of finding a mentor was very intuitive. Once I found a mentor, they were proactive about helping find resources to help me along.

Mentors are great! Refund policy is good too. The only thing that took 1 star down was the website. I gave ratings to 3 mentors but none of them showed up on their page…also there seems like a delay in message notifications to mailbox. It would be great if I can get an email notification as soon as there is a message on the website.

Very poor customer experience. Cancelled my mentorship after 1st session due to personal reasons, sending a private messages to mentor prior. Mentor just blocked me and did not respond at all.

Future sessions were not reimbursed.

this is a scam platform. Do not recommend. I cancelled my mentorship but was not reimbursed for sessions that never happened

Fantastic platform to connect mentor to mentee. Focused on tech but covers a wide range. Brilliant!

Joined as a mentor long ago but the platform just doesn't seem to give mentors much exposure.
When I finally did get a mentee and it came time to get paid, I discovered the invoices generated through Stripe weren't tax compliant, even though I'd entered my tax ID and VAT ID correctly. MentorCruise initially blamed Stripe for this, but later Stripe confirmed the problem was actually caused by MentorCruise's setup that didn't allow the invoices to generate properly.
After tons of emails back and forth, all MentorCruise could do was provide me with manually corrected invoices, but no real long-term solution. Then to my complete surprise, they blocked my profile from appearing in searches because of this whole mess. Absolutely insane response. I challenged this decision to prevent me to get business through them because of their failures, but they did not reply.

I appreciate how easy it was to search for prospective, longer-term mentorship opportunities on MentorCruise.

Key details about each mentor such as their mentoring philosophy, available plans, and monthly rates were transparent.

I also felt in control of my mentorship experience through MentorCruise—I could make adjustments to my plan, switch mentors, or reach out for help if need be.

The mentor I had was a great fit and really helpful in the areas that I needed support. The process of selecting and understanding the services was transparent, clear and easy. Enjoyed my sessions with my mentor and would definitely do it again.
