I recently had a comprehensive physical at Memorial Hospital. Check in was a bit confusing and unorganized, but once I was assigned an interpreter the experience was seamless. Muhammet Agioglu explained every step for each appointment and was in the background when necessary. He coordinated all appts and there was very little downtime.

I highly recommend Memorial Hospital. Drs and nurses were also friendly and professional. I truly felt well taken care of.

I researched meticulously for a hospital and doctor to perform a hair transplant in Turkey and after much consideration I decided to go with Memorial Hospital Group (Rememore) and MD Sema Aysan Kızıldağ.

After initially contacting the hospital via their website - I was contacted by a representitive, Öyküm Özgündoğan via Whatsapp in under 2 hours. Öyküm was incredibly friendly, helpful and professional, answering every question and concern I had, no matter how specific or complicated- all with her perfect English. Öyküm got me to send through photos of my hairline via whatsapp which were forwarded MD Sema for review and a proposal for the transplantation.

I was pleasantly suprised at the speed and efficiency in which a quotation was put together- Within a day Öyküm had prepared a .pdf document and emailed it which explained the total grafts expected and the cost of the procedure. I was more surprised by how reasonable the price was for such a high level of grafts at a major hospital group.

I paid the initial deposit *$250 USD* and Öyküm immediately confirmed and arranged the surgery booking, including requesting my flight information to arrange accommodation. Öyküm was available within minutes online whenever I had a question or change of travel plans and organised extra time at the hotel to accommodate for recovery. The hotel cost was also very reasonable (hampton by hilton)

I now had to wait for the trip over to Turkey and the surgery - though was not nervous knowing everything was arranged and the contact was ongoing.

After arriving at Istanbul Airport, I simply walked out of the arrival gates, directly into Memorial Hospitals office in the terminal. A helpful gentleman checked me in to their system and a friendly driver was called who picked me up in a deluxe passenger van that felt very VIP.

We went straight to the hospital- took blood test and I was dropped off at the hotel which was very spacious, clean and had everything I needed to recover during my time in Turkey. Öyküm checked in that everything was OK and let me know what time the driver would collect me the next morning.

After a complimentary hotel breakfast- the next day the driver took me to the hospital for the surgery.

I was greeted by a lovely lady named Yaren who was had a great energy and pleasant smile - she guided me through the initial check in and forms before proceeding into the surgery.

There I met with MD Sema for my in person consultation - she was very pleasant and professional, informing me of everything that would be happening and what Is expected- translated through Yaren who ensured I understood every step of the way.

The rest of the team came in (I'm sorry I can't remember your names - 2 lovely lady nurses / surgeons) And they advised on the best hairline possible. Once it was drawn on and I was happy- we proceeded into the surgery room.

In terms of the actual surgery, I went with a FUE Procedure and purchased the Stem Cell Treatment at an additional cost. (I don't need to explain the procedure and process of how its done as this is a review on service and experience)

Yaren was present throughout the entire procedure to translate any necessary information if in more complicated english and the surgery staff offered consistent communication on each step of the way through their good English skills. Absolutely everyone checked in with me at all times to ensure I was comfortable, hydrated, feeling good or if there was any pain. If I could explain the feeling in the room - it was relaxed, calm yet incredibly professional.

The two lady nurses /surgeons were absolutely excellent and deserve a major congratulations for their laborious and tedious work removing every graft and placing them meticulously in the channels created by MD Sema. They were confident in their work, their skills and their practices and I felt like I wouldn't want any one else doing the job.

The entire surgery took 12 hours and I received 4700 grafts successfully with no complications thanks to everyones incredible work!

I should also mention I received a 3 course steak lunch with desert half way through!

Yaren gave me detailed instructions on how to look after myself when I got back to the hotel and provided me with a bag of medicines, an inflatable pillow and written instructions.

I was picked up in a spacious transport van and taken back to the hotel for much needed rest - though I walked out of the hospital smiling knowing I had made the right choice.

Fast forwarding - I was picked up the next day and taken to the hospital for check up and discharged with the all clear. Airport transfer was included 🛫

I am now 3 weeks in to my new hairline and I could not be happier.

I recently had the opportunity to visit Memorial Hospital in Istanbul, and I must say that my experience exceeded all expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was met with a level of professionalism and care that immediately put me at ease.

The hospital itself is state-of-the-art, with clean, modern facilities and a highly attentive medical staff. What really made my visit exceptional, however, was the incredible support provided by our coordinator, Muhammet Alioğlu. He was truly outstanding—always available to answer any questions, guide us through the process, and ensure that every detail was taken care of. His warmth, professionalism, and commitment to making the experience as smooth and comfortable as possible were greatly appreciated.

Muhammet went above and beyond to make sure that we were informed and well taken care of throughout the entire process. His personal touch and attention to detail made all the difference, turning what could have been a stressful time into a seamless experience.

Choosing to receive my medical care at Memorial Hospital in Istanbul was hands-down the best decision I have made regarding my health maintenance.

I was immediately assigned an interpreter, Mena, who was invaluable during my journey through multiple departments. Although many of the specialists speak English, Mena was by my side to interpret for those who spoke primarily Turkish or when certain phrases or medical terms needed clarification.

During the three days that I was at Memorial, I received a comprehensive head to toe evaluation which included labs, imaging studies, physical examinations, and procedures. My last stop was with the internal medicine specialist who summarized my health status and made recommendations for future care.

The care I received from the staff was exceptional and the cost for that care was a fraction of what I would have paid in the United States.

I 100 percent recommend Memorial Hospital and plan to return annually for my ongoing health maintenance.

I managed to see so many doctors all in one day and it was so efficient mostly thanks to the exceptional guidance of Muhammet. All the doctors were attentive, professional, and warm. I felt I had an excellent level of care all around; I highly recommend Memorial!

I signed up for VIP women’s checkup with Menna as my interpreter. The checkup was very comprehensive and Menna was there to relay any and all questions I had. 10/10 would and will recommend to friends.

I had such a wonderful experience with Memorial Hospital in Turkey. They really went above and beyond with the service and experience, up to and including a heroic rescue of my phone before boarding my plane to depart Turkey. Mostly though, I was impressed with the speed and quality of every medical treatment I received while there, including dermatology where the results have been excellent and long-lasting. I would definitely come back again and I plan to.

A special shout out to Sam my guide for the 3 day comprehensive package, he is worth his weight in gold and such a nice man, thank you so much Sam, genuinely one of the nicest people I have ever met.

I had major issues with my own health care system to the point it was gross negligence, the NHS are a disgrace, not the workers the people at the very top and some of the arrogant Drs who just wouldn’t listen to me.

I went to memorial for an emergency intervention as I had no choice and was blew away by how efficient and good they were.

I went for the comprehensive check up and found what my issue was within 2 days, my own health care service refused to listen to me, at memorial they do.

The price is very good for what you get, one procedure at home would of cost near as much as their whole package and they test absolutely everything from MRI’s to endoscopy, ultrasounds, CT scans, bloods and more.

If you are concerned for your health or just want an awesome check up memorial is the place to go hands down.

We opted for the VIP checkup package to gain a deeper understanding of our health. The hospital was accommodating, offering us appointments on our preferred date and arranging transportation to and from our Airbnb and the airport.

Our appointment day spanned from 8 am to 5 pm. We were fortunate to have Muhammet as our translator, who expertly guided us through the day, scheduling appointments and facilitating communication. His English proficiency and compassionate demeanor were commendable, and he was readily available via WhatsApp.

We efficiently completed our lab work in the morning and enjoyed a complimentary, delicious, and nutritious meal – a welcome relief after fasting.

Surprisingly, doctor appointments aren't pre-booked. This is an area for improvement; pre-scheduling would enhance efficiency. Despite this, we secured appointments promptly and experienced minimal wait times, except for one or two instances where we waited 20-30 minutes. Thankfully, the pre-arrival orientation materials prepared us for potential waits, so we came equipped with books and podcasts.

The test results and doctor consultations were insightful, providing actionable steps to enhance our health. While the hospital offered treatment options, we found them pricier than back home and opted out.

Another area for improvement is cleanliness. Bathrooms and waiting rooms could benefit from more frequent attention.

Overall, we had a positive experience. We gained valuable knowledge about our health, felt well-cared for by Muhammet and the medical staff, and aspire to repeat this every 5 years!

Great experience. Arrived at 9 and got all my paperwork started straight away. I was helped all day long by my translator Songul Gumus who was great to chat to. The doctor’s were efficient and answered my questions. There was a complimentary meal provided in the canteen at lunch time which was very tasty. Songul organised transport for me to go back to the airport which was very much appreciated - thank you!
