If you lose work, it cannot be recovered

I have used this app for several years, and have rarely encountered issues, but when I do there is no recourse. The biggest issue is lost work. I can type away, then log in later and it's forgotten what I wrote.

It recently 'synced' a more recent version to a less recent version and lost me literally 1000s of words. There is no recovery option, no version history so I can go back. Yes, I should have backed it up, but I'd never encountered this issue before so didn't realise it might happen.

I will absolutely be looking for an alternative now.

It's fine if you're just jotting something minor that you don't mind losing, but basically not worth it for anything it's actually important for you to keep.

Syncing not supported for multiple…

Syncing not supported for multiple devices.
When working with their server you can get to all your notes everywhere you are via the website.
However once you bough the syncing to Google Drive you can only sync on the device where you bought the license. On other devices you get that syncing get terminated and can't get to your data.

A few days later I could not get to sync on the machine I which I bought the license. All my data is unreachable. Luckily not life threatening important data.

Advise.
Use the website without additional syncing and keep you password somewhere save.

Great site, no recovering your account if you forget the password.

Memonotepad is a great site for writing, brainstorming, etc. It has a nice background and you can log in from any device. You can easily share and email yourself or others your memos. It does not have bold or italics, but otherwise pretty great. However, if you get logged out of your account and forget your password as I did, there is a non-functional option to reset your password. I've tried it several times, searched through my spam and inbox, but the promised email with the reset link never comes. There is no way to contact the company to recover your account. Memonotepad is a great site, but users need to be able to recover accounts or contact the creator(s) with problems.

I use this site whenever I type reviews…

I use this site whenever I type reviews on metacritic because metacritic's site runs too slow for my typing and it just happens to get in the way. I know that it doesn't take much to make a functional notepad online but it really is helpful what they did and adding the background and such really adds to it. I don't know what logging in does either, most likely saves it, because I have never attempted to. Overall a simply, fast running site that gets exactly what I need done and that's all I ask of it.
