Ditch the apps, get some exercise and meet new people 😊

Having had my fill of the 'joy' that is dating apps and being ghosted too many times I was keen to try something new.

I attended the Caerphilly mountain walk in Feb, there was a group of 14 of us - evenly split with men/women. From the moment I arrived I felt relaxed and at ease. Serena made everyone feel welcome and within minutes everyone was chatting.

The first part of the hike you have 10 mins with each person - this is fab and a great non pressured way to chat to everyone. We then stopped for lunch/a break then could naturally chat to anyone we wanted. I found it equally lovely meeting fellow ladies and all 'feeling in the same boat together'. Leon also works with Serena and the pair make a great team providing the needed male/female support balance so all participants feel welcome.

I would highly recommend Meet my Pace for anyone who is fed up of the apps. This was a wonderful way to spend a Sat morning - getting fresh air and exercise, meeting lovely like minded people and regardless of whether you find a romantic connection or not you leave feeling refreshed and recharged. MUCH better than scrolling on your phone at home!

A well‑organised, great-value way to meet people naturally

A well‑organised, great‑value way to meet people naturally

I recently went on my first Meet My Peace walking event, and I was genuinely impressed with how thoughtfully it was put together. I didn’t want to book another event until I’d tried the first one, just in case it wasn’t for me — but I’m glad I gave it a chance, because the experience was really positive.

A ticket is £15, and for that you get far more than just a walk. The organisers aim for a balanced group — usually around six men and six women — which keeps things relaxed and fair from the start.

The guided walk itself is well planned, and it gives you the chance to meet people you might never come across on dating apps, especially if distance usually gets in the way. At the beginning, you rotate and chat to each person of the opposite sex for around 15 minutes. It’s long enough to get a feel for someone, but short enough that it never feels awkward or forced. After the break, you’re free to talk to whoever you’d like, which is a great opportunity to continue a conversation or explore a new connection.

One of the best parts is how the matching works at the end. There’s no pressure to ask for numbers on the spot. Instead, the host uploads a list with photos of the opposite group on the event page. You simply tick the people you’d like to stay in touch with, and if they tick you too, the host passes on your details. It removes all the awkwardness and keeps things comfortable for everyone.

I haven’t had a match yet, but I’m honestly enjoying the experience. The walk was friendly, the atmosphere was easygoing, and it’s a refreshing way to meet new people in real life. I’ll update this after the next event on the 28th February, but so far I’d definitely recommend giving it a try.

Definitely worth going.

I've been on a couple of the local hikes. They are so well organised and enjoyable. Serena puts an amazing amount of effort into all her events and makes everyone feel welcome.

Its such a refreshing change from dating apps, even if you don't match up with someone you still get to try out Serenas Ice Breaker Questions, meet new people and have a good walk.

I recommend to every single person out there to give Meet my Pace a try, you never know your person might be on your next walk...

A brilliant day out with Meet My Peace

A brilliant day out with Meet My Peace

I joined the Meet My Peace event last weekend, and it was such a refreshing experience. The group was made up of single adults aged 30–50, and from the moment we set off in Elidir, South Wales, the atmosphere was relaxed, friendly, and welcoming.

The weather didn’t exactly play along, but it honestly didn’t matter. The waterfalls were stunning, the walk was beautiful, and the company made the whole day feel special. Everyone was easy to talk to, and the conversations flowed naturally as we explored the trails together.

It was the perfect mix of connection, nature, and light adventure. I left feeling uplifted and genuinely glad I went. I’d highly recommend Meet My Peace to anyone looking to meet new people in a down‑to‑earth, meaningful way.
