I live in a rural area and the pickings…

I live in a rural area and the pickings are slim for internet connectivity. Mediacom is the fastest, somewhat reasonably priced, and pretty versatile. Connectivity isn't quite as stable as my last company, but that was in a major metro area. I traded a rented apartment there for an owned house here. This is an extremely small sacrifice. The only thing I'm not fond of is being required to go through all the auto-answer "troubleshooting" every time I call with a problem. I'm not that stupid. I know to do all those things before I call. Once I do get a live person, though, they are generally courteous and usually have good information if not an immediate solution. Downtime is limited. I have been on the service for 2 1/2 years and I think my service has gone out - define that as needing more than a reboot - maybe 6 or 7 times. These times usually involved a storm or something to that effect. Any other downtime, such as scheduled maintenance, you will be notified days ahead and in ways you can't possibly miss it.

Been without cable since Saturday …

Been without cable since Saturday night. Missed Game of Thrones!!! When I call the message says we are experiencing I high call volume in your area etc, etc!!! The point is you can't talk to anyone. I did speak to a representative this morning that was not helpful and I still don't have cable!!!!! Ready to find a new, dependable company! They charge you up the wazoo for bad service!!!! Ugh, beyond frustrated!!!

Media com. Piles of trash they have very poor customer service their internet sucks it goes out once a week and just all around horrible don't recommend scam and costly as well. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!

Just ordered

Just bought the XTREAM 50 SILVER package in $89.98 the customer service was really good and friendly and they guided me well.
