Avoid, avoid, avoid!

I have so many things to could talk about here that I’m actually writing a book about my experience with this company!

They consistently told me not to report concerns and complaints about the work history of others (who were lying about their previous employment), I was told not to raise concerns with the health board where we were locums… Since medgen did not act on these concerns, I did report them with the support of the RCN and it became a full blown whistleblowing investigation.

Medgen then treated me horrendously whilst I was pregnant, post pregnancy, and when I was due to return to work. I feel they started discriminating against me because I was a whistle blower and well, what I discovered over the past 2 years have made them seem all the more dodgy!

For example:
- For a locum placement they did not use the references I provided. But used a reference from one of their other employees! The very one that I had reported concerns about to them for lying about their experience!
- after asking to see my ‘contract’ for years (I worked for them full time on long term placements for years) they provided a badly filled in application form, that was not in my handwriting, had my name and address spelled wrongly and had next to no information in it… I did not fill in this form!
- lots of Maternity discrimination (how dare an agency worker get pregnant!).
- lots of lies and blatant NHS fraud (supplying nurses who have falsified their experience to get band 6 jobs which Medgen was complicit in).
- ignoring correspondences so that people are ‘timed out’ of escalating their treatment to an employment tribunal.

As I said, I’m literally writing a book to highlight how agencies are getting away with NHS fraud and how they are penalising staff who raise concerns about their other staff members!

If you value your registration and you have any morals at all you should steer clear of Medgen! Trust me, they are incompetent liars who provide staff with falsified work experience and references!

I'm happy to be part of Medgen now. All process from recruiting, compliance until placement was so smooth, fast and highly professional. The communication with Medgen was always great, they supported me every single step on my way to placement. They are in regular touch to find out how I'm getting on if I face any struggles at work etc. I would highly recommend them to work for.

I am glad to be part of Medgen team, the compliance team has been wonderful right from the time I contacted Samantha, Ani and Zeinab l appreciate efficency at work and as team. It is the most fast compliance I have completed. Thank you all.

It was surely a learning curve for both of us I presume. There was a lot of hurdles but we managed to trash them together. You are a true gentleman because there were times I would lose it but you stood firm and calmed me down with your polite words. At one time I never thought we were going to complete this application but we have done it. Thank you once again.

Catharine, Sally and Salah are by far the best care coordinators on Medgen’s team and go all out to help with anything you need or any questions you may have

I had an amazing experience with Medgen Ltd during registration. Samantha my recruitment officer has been very professional and supportive throughout the process. Having worked with medgen for a while, I have a lot to say about the team. In my experience, their professionalism and attention to detail is astounding. The staff are a great bunch, especially Ella whom I have worked closely with, she is exceptionally helpful and always listening. A phone conversation with Ella is like speaking to your buddy, very approachable, respectful and considerate. Medgen is a good agency to work with.

An amazing organisation, made even better by the team and member of staff. My consultant Shamail is always watching out for my welfare and making sure that I have the right work environment. Its always a pleasure getting shifts and working with Medgen!

As a nurse I have had the opportunity to work with multiple agencies here in the UK and can confidently say that MEDGEN are in a class of their own. My consultant Hibo and all of her colleagues that I have had interactions with remain extremely helpful, always ready to listen and assist.
