Talent well applied

I enjoy shopping at Mecca.The girls are warm and attentive. My recent experience at Mecca Maxima Wintergarden was memorable. I was impressed with Natasha. She was proffessional and her customer service
conveyed a rare combination of talent and knowledge in the way she addressed my specific needs.

Love the app and rewards program

Absolutely love shopping with Mecca, but what really stands out for me is how good the app experience is.

It’s super easy to use, everything is laid out really well, and it just makes browsing and buying feel seamless. I find myself going back to it all the time because it’s just so convenient.

The rewards program is also fantastic. It actually feels worth it, with great perks and little extras that make you feel valued as a customer.

Overall just a really well thought out experience, both online and in store. Highly recommend.

Well as a long time Customer of Mecca…

Well as a long time Customer of Mecca I’ve really noticed in the last 6 to 12 months well probably since Burke Street just how much the whole experience has deteriorated. I can’t stand going in there. The staff in some of the stores are rude unhelpful and don’t even know about the products they carry. I’m sick of looking over my shoulder to see people giggling and there isn’t enough older people in the store. I feel like some of these young girls wouldn’t have a clue about my skin and I’m sick of getting out of date crappy products. If anything it has just led me back to David Jones and staff are leaving in droves.

Beauty Loop customer care FAIL

As a level 4 Beauty Loop customer, to get to that level requires some significant spending in a calendar year.
This month one of the best beauty loops have been released, but wait for it - only if you can get to Bourke Street store.
That means most everyone is disadvantaged.
Even if they required a minimum spend for it to be posted, it would be better than disqualifying the vast majority of their customers.
I’ve no doubt they don’t care, which is a shame.

Mecca 4 me ur FINISHED

Mecca - over priced
Mecca - staff mainly young and fake
Mecca the company:
1. I went had lashes tinted and lifted paid $120 (over priced) but it was the worst I have ever had, "NO" different and I know as I have them done at least 3 times a year.
2. They sent me a voucher for a birthday, a gift of their choice but 1st I have to purchase something valued at $25 or more. So I have to pay them to give me a birthday gift when i spend $100's a year in their stores. Mecca there are now many other Asian -Korean stores now available with better prices and better products. Mecca for me you are FINISHED.

Hitting new lows

Why are there no samples with purchases anymore? Mecca’s service standards for a supposedly “luxury retailer” are the poorest they’ve ever been. After the expired products of the boxing day fiasco, tote-gate and now no samples with purchases Mecca keeps hitting new lows. They’re provided by the suppliers- why aren’t they being passed onto the consumer?

Online order system is horrendous

Online order system is horrendous ! If you can go in store .. I called them a day after placing order as my status hadnt changed and pending as one item out of stock. Speaking to customer care and they can’t even get a message to warehouse to say to remove that item and send the rest of the order . Won’t ever order online from them again.

Lovely Mecca Maxima Hobart Experience

Hi, My name is Jayda Wells and I recently visited the Mecca Maxima in Hobart Tasmania and I can't explain how beautiful every single worker was I think there were about eight workers that came up to my family so beautiful sweet and kind 💕 we had a few questions for some that were answered beautifully and some employees just came to check on us one even complemented on me and my family's beautiful and the cutness of my siblings 🥹🥰 they were all so gorgeous and sweet. Also they displayed he most beautiful makeup on here face and also enhance the natural beauty. All of my questions were answered with care and very informational and they put heaps of effort in. The store was kept beautifully and smelt absolutely Devine . I loved how the whole store was set out so cute clean and aesthetic and the makeup testers were kept super clean easy and accessible and the products easy to find. While using a tester a lovely lady brought me and my little sister a tissue because of all the testers we had on us and was so beautiful and kind they all just put hat little more effort and it felt like they really cared as they weren't even concerned by force selling us products that we didn't need. They were just interested in showing us products that would be cool or going in depth with products that we wanted. Overall I really love the experience and I would love to go back again. Utter incompetence

After buying 7 items online, Mecca having my money for 18 days (11 working days)… I was left in the lurch wondering when I’m ever going to get my order. Despite my multiple attempts via their online customer chat, phone calls and an email all they could respond with was a generic ‘sorry’ and no promise of action and accountability from Mecca. Utter incompetence doesn’t even describe the half of this company. All for my final email of demand leading them to say EVERY item I bought was no longer in stock. Was it no longer in stock or a decade expired??? After being called out and going viral for selling disgustingly old make up because the company is too money hungry to have sales when they are usable????? Bye Mecca last dollar out of me

This is a further complaint regarding Mecca Customer Care, following another unsatisfactory interaction with a representative named Olivia. This interaction must be considered in the context of an earlier complaint that remains unaddressed. Despite raising concerns previously, no resolution, response, or corrective action has been provided, which in itself represents a failure to comply with acceptable customer service and complaint handling standards.

During my most recent interaction, I was repeatedly advised that my online order was “being prepared”, yet no estimated dispatch date or delivery timeframe could be provided. This is inconsistent with Mecca’s publicly stated processing commitment of a three business day turnaround. When I sought clarification as to whether this timeframe was being met, I received only vague explanations and repeated deflection, rather than any verifiable or substantive information.

When I specifically queried whether the items in my order were actually in stock, Olivia initially asserted that they were. However, this assertion was not supported by any evidence of inventory verification. Despite stating that confirmation would be provided, no such check was undertaken, nor was any follow up information supplied. Instead, I was told that I would receive “notification”, without any attempt to confirm the facts at the time of the enquiry.

At no stage was there a genuine attempt to resolve the issue, expedite the order, or escalate the matter, despite the ongoing delay and the absence of clear information. The interaction was characterised by a lack of transparency, a refusal to engage meaningfully with the issue, and an apparent unwillingness to apply Mecca’s own policies and procedures in a reasonable manner.

This conduct falls below the standards outlined in Mecca’s customer service policies and complaint handling procedures, particularly those relating to accuracy of information, transparency, accountability, and timely resolution of customer concerns. Customers are entitled to truthful information regarding stock availability, processing timelines, and delivery expectations. Providing unverified assurances, failing to respond to a prior complaint, and refusing escalation undermines consumer trust and contravenes basic service standards.

Tahlia 5 stars!!

Tahlia has amazing customer service and spent lots of her time being very patient and understanding of my wants and needs. She made me feel very comfortable and looked after as she gave me different options for everything I was interested in. She is an amazing sale person and I would definitely come back after having her take care of me!

Avoid MECCA online like the plague

Avoid MECCA online like the plague.
Website is glitchy. Zero support from customer service, who are antagonistic and unhelpful. MECCA will not investigate failed deliveries or missing products. My experience with MECCA had been the worst customer experience of my life.
