I have purchased multiple items from MDI Carbonfiber and the product quality itself is generally very good — the finish and appearance are exactly as expected.

However, my experience with fulfilment and after-sales support has been extremely disappointing.

In my most recent order, I received an item that did not fit correctly. I returned it at my own expense with the expectation of receiving a replacement, but the correct item was never sent back.

I have now been attempting to resolve this issue for nearly two years. During this time, I have made repeated attempts to contact the company directly without success.

I have also escalated the matter through multiple channels, including consumer protection bodies. Complaints have been lodged with authorities in California, and those offices have contacted the company and encouraged them to respond to me. Despite this, I have received no meaningful response or resolution.

As a result, I have been left out of pocket for both the product and delivery costs.

While the products themselves can be high quality, the lack of accountability, communication, and follow-up makes the overall experience very difficult to recommend. Buyers should be aware of the risk if something goes wrong.

I’ve had the same issues as others. No part. No response. No refund.

Company do not response after ordering a month earlier. Tried multiple times and it's like they are out of business. Stay away from this POs company

I have 2 great regrets in my life ... 1-not buying more Bitcoin in 2010 @ .10 per coin .. 2-purchasing carbon parts from MDI Carbonfiber !! Never received all items for my MV Agusta F4 no items fit .. Items might look good hanging on my garage wall !!!!

NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY...... Ordered fairings in February, no communication until I emailed 3 times for updates. 7 months later only received 2 of 5 parts, still waiting for other 3 parts. Come to find out MDI doesn't make the parts, they source from China leading to massive delays. Will never recommend, or do business with this company again. I ordered from and "American" company so I didn't have to wait 5+ months for Italian parts. Hands down worst experience with a company that claims "quality" products.

I really liked your service, the communication was very good.

Ordered carbon fender back on May3rd. Sent follow up email on 28th and replied order just placed with 7 week lead time. After 8 weeks no email or call. I try calling at 11am and nobody picks up the phone?

Absolute garbage company. Wrong carbon fibre part sent. Holes IN the CF, could literally see through it. Had to send it back at my own expense, and they promised a refund of freight for the CORRECT part to be shipped. And still, no part has been sent. Insane how bad this company is. No response to emails, no part shipped, out of pocket to return their product back to them.

Absolutely stay away. Would have given 0 stars if possible. Parts did not fit. Was promised a refund so returned the parts. Now I have no refund or parts. All contact is ignored(thanks Ioni!). If you choose to ignore this and go ahead, read t&c’s as once you try to fit, no return is possible(even if the parts are faulty). Totally disgraceful.

Experiencing the same issue as the rest it seems, order placed almost two months ago and only partially fulfilled. When trying to get status, absolutely no response. If the assumptions are correct and the business is struggling, guess I should pretty much write off my expense.

Don’t buy anything from this crook. Months of back and forth text and messages to only be told I will finally get a refund but that still hasnt happened. so no part and no refund and now no communication.

Thieves who pretend to run a business! Obviously, the business is sinking or they would refund money for products never delivered. Inadequate at all business matters including basic communications! Will not answer emails or phone calls! I assume, because I never received the products I ordered, it would be of poor quality because of the business quality. Do not “buy” from this business! They will simply take your money and make excuses as to why your parts were not shipped (We mistakingly sent your parts to a buyer in France) so they can buy more time to steal someone else’s money so they can pay to have yours made. Or they may never even make your parts! They are masters of a shell game with customers’ money, but there are many, as you can read in these reviews and others, who never receive their parts or refund. This probably has something to do with the criminal laws associated with lower valued parts. Would anyone like to join a class action lawsuit against MDI Carbon for an accumulative total? Please let me know!

It's unfortunate I can't give them less than one for their service, I bought two products off them, one was a pair of very small parts and the other a large costly one, the large costly one I didn't even get close to receiving the correct part and after several different communications I never did, I would not trust them at all.

I ordered parts from them last summer. It took them a couple months longer than they said it would to send the parts to me, and after I FINALLY received them, they were the wrong parts AND they were broken. These are ~$900 carbon fiber parts where, with any decent company, there should be at least some level of caring for the customer. After informing them of the issue the same day I received the panels, communication was scarce and unhelpful. They pretended they were going to send me new parts with a “discount” (I would only need to pay $450 for them), then this turned into a multi-month ordeal that they never fulfilled. They led me on with this false hope up until the period I could charge back expired. Finally, I adjusted my bike and the parts to make them work, and I forked out $400 in repairs to fix the broken parts MDI sent me as they made it seem like they would reimburse me. After sending them the invoice, they completely ghosted me, refusing to answer calls, texts, emails, etc. They are a complete scam company that sources from China and lies about making parts in-house (the parts they sent me literally had “made in China” stickers on them). If they have a part that’s been sitting for a while, they will send it to you and refuse to help you so it’s your problem. NEVER purchase from MDI Carbon Fiber. Absolute garbage company. 10 months later and it’s still a headache.

They took about 5 months to make my one little peace and they still messed it up

Placed an order for a couple of carbon pieces for my Diavel back in October. Worryingly I did not get an order confirmation, only a PayPal receipt. Contacted them in mid November and had a reply a couple of days later from Loni explaining that one piece was in production and despatch would be in a few weeks, True to her word she emailed me back a couple of times updating me on progress with the final email being a shipment advice and tracking info.
I'll update this once the goods are received.

Edit 08/02/2022 Initially received incorrect heat shield but contacted Loni and she sorted it so that the correct one shipped with another part I ordered. Both items duly arrived and fitted perfectly, the matte finish is a great match for the OEM items on the Diavel Carbon. Will definitely purchase again.

Updated 26/06/2023 . Well, it took three goes but finally had an issue with MDI, I think their biggest problem is poor communication - I received no replies to my emails requesting an update so had to make a PayPal claim (thankfully I didn't pay them direct!). This did the trick and I finally got my goods and the quality was fine.
Some things to note about this seller - the 'company' seems to be run out of a private residence in California and they don't actually make anything, it's all made in China and whilst I don't have an issue with that, especially as in my case all the items were of good quality, I think their website is deceptive as it presents the image that they make the products themselves.
All things considered I will not be dealing with them in future, there are better more legitimate sellers of carbon parts out there that have way better communication.

Ordered over $1000 worth of Carbon for my bike over 8 months ago, still no delivery or commitment to a date.
Have been emailing them and all I get are false promises.

Was told product was out of stock so had to wait for item to be made and shipped out with got to me within the 3 months waiting time I was quoted ,I am over the moon with the overall quality and finish of the carbon nose cone for my r1 she looks absolutely amazing now thanks mdi .I was very nervous after reading previous reviews thinking my order would never arrive or be of poor quality but all I can give this company is praise they met the delivery time I was quoted and the overall quality was spot on
