Fantastic flexible home care organised and overseen by McDonald Homecare. The lovely carer was warm and kind and capable and well supported by the company. They enabled my mother in law to stay at home for 9 extra months which was everything to her and supported and helped with the move into nursing care when there was no longer a choice. As a family we will always be grateful for the care they provided and would recommend them if care at home is what you need!

McDonald Homecare provided excellent care for my mum at very short notice. The carers were very kind and friendly and we knew very quickly that my mum was in safe hands. Leigh went out of his way to ensure my mum always received care of the highest quality and we are very appreciative of this.

Leigh and his team arrived in our lives at a time when I was finding it increasingly challenging to provide the care and companionship my father needs. His staff are so good with Dad. They are kind, reliable and what really stands out is their ability to spot possible issues before they develop into problems. They are proactive, not reactive, which means that Dad is being cared for even better than before! I can't thank Leigh and his team enough for all they do.

We contacted McDonald Homecare as my mother (aged 91) required a live in carer after a series of mini strokes. Leigh was really helpful and sympathetic and after a consultation arranged a carer for us very quickly. Annie was fantastic - she showed great patience and understanding with my mother who could be quite challenging at times. Leigh was also always there as a resource when needed and helped to smooth the way on a couple of occasions when tensions rose. I honestly don't know what we would have done without Annie and Leigh, as the two previous carers from a different company had struggled to cope and their stays were short and unsuccessful. Inevitably this added to and exacerbated the difficulties and stresses caused by the strokes my mother had suffered.
We can't thank Annie and Leigh enough for all they did to help my mother and us through this really challenging time.
