Miguel was so helpful . There were some unexpected barriers to my move and he supported me every step of the way . He was knowledgeable , efficient , honest in his opinion of properties and services , and endlessly patient ! Even after I had moved into my new home , Miguel continued to assist me with problems with services long after could have been realistically expected . Hes a star !

Always able and willing to answer questions

Miguel was responsive and helpful -- he walked me through apartments so I could see them virtually, he translated documents so that I could understand them, he arranged for my utilities to be set up in my name before my arrival and he has continued to answer questions and address concerns. He is very kind and patient and I highly recommend him.

After nearly two months of frustrating delays in my D7 visa application process—caused largely by unresponsive and inefficient agents from Remax—I was fortunate enough to come across a listing on Idealista posted by Miguel Carvalho. What followed was nothing short of a game changer.

From the very beginning, Miguel proved to be incredibly responsive, professional, and proactive. I was searching for a rental remotely from abroad and needed someone I could trust to help navigate the process. Miguel arranged a video viewing of the property and provided honest, clear feedback that helped me make an informed decision.

He went the extra mile to ensure my offer stood out to the landlord, and his negotiation skills were instrumental in agreeing on favourable terms. The tenancy agreement was signed swiftly and smoothly thanks to his efficiency and attention to detail.

But Miguel's support didn’t end there. He took it upon himself to help transfer utility contracts into my name—something that can be extremely time-consuming and confusing for someone unfamiliar with the Portuguese system.

In what was otherwise a very convoluted and stressful process, Miguel was quite literally a godsend—a light in the darkness. I cannot recommend him highly enough for anyone, especially expats, looking for dependable, knowledgeable, and truly helpful real estate support in Lisbon.

Miguel was a dream to work with as we set up my new utilities as I move from the United States to Lisbon. He saved me so much time and effort and was worth every single penny. Could I have done it myself with the help of a translation app? Probably, I suppose. Would it have taken me much longer and caused many anxiety attacks along the way? Most definitely. I can't recommend Miguel enough!

We are American retirees who were so lucky to have Miguel help us lease our apartment in Cascais! He was endlessly patient with us on so many issues -- we weren't sure what kind of apartment we wanted, we do not understand Portuguese, we are not familiar with Portuguese practices and procedures, and we are hopelessly inept with modern technology. Miguel responded quickly to all of our questions and concerns (even about his cat) and he has remained available even after we signed our lease. We are thrilled with our new home and we don't think we could have managed it without his help.

Since we relocated from Canada to Lisbon, we had to find a place remotely and wouldn’t have been able to do so without Miguel. He went on our behalf to several appartements and would walk us through the place in detail via video. Once we signed a lease he took care of setting up all the utilities on our behalf. He would also go to our place if we needed someone there to accept a delivery. Miguel was very responsive and clear throughout the process.
