Thinking of buying a guitar from Max Guitars - DON’T until you’ve read this …
I ordered an Ibanez guitar from Max Guitar having emailed the store in advance about the guitar and having received an email reply that the guitar was new and ‘available in our warehouse’. A week later I received an email stating that ‘I have some disappointing news for you … the guitar you ordered isn’t available after all’. I was also promised ‘We’ll issue a refund immediately’. A week on again there is no sign of a refund. I’m now going to have to dispute the charge with my credit card company to get my money back. I ordered from Max because of all of the positive reviews on TrustPilot. Thinking of buying a guitar from Max Guitars … my advice is simple … DON’T !

Okay. first of all I am sorry to see that you are diappointed and very bitter. I gave you a decent and friendly answer yesterday as to why it took a little longer. However it seems that you were in a hurry to badmouth us regardless. that is a pity and very unnecessary. again here is the explanation. The guitar in question was listed as 'online only' meaning that this is a dropshipping item sent directly from the distributor to the customer. In this case the guitar wasn't available anymore. a simple technical issue, something that can happen. After communication with you the refund was initiated IMMEDIATELY. You used a credit card through paypal and it is because of this that the factual refund takes longer. Your money is not 'gone' nor do we have it anymore. It is simply a fact that this particular way of refund takes longer to complete. I would like to ask you to look at this reasonable and review you criticism

Again a very pleasent experience with Max Guitar. Laurens, Max's luthier did a great job on my Collings D1A in levelling the frets of the guitar so that they seemed to be new. The action improved, the playability is great. Also he implemented a the radius baggs pickup system on my Triggs mandolin, it sounds really great with the First Gig with it last Sunday. Prices were really fair. If you have any problem with your instrument, I recommend Laurens' work at Max Guitar strongly. Thanks a lot again, Jürgen

Luthier Work at Max´s
Again a very good experience with Max Guitar. I decided to get some amplification on two of my guitars and Laurence did a great job. He installed the L. R. Baggs anthem system on my Collings D1A and my Gibson AJ (both guitars sounds brilliant with it, and removed a big scratch on the latter so good that you´re not able to see where it was. Friendly, competent, and also the price of the Baggs Systems and his Luthier work was really fair. And, of course, it´s also a pleasure to visit the shop to see and play one ore more of the guitars there in stock. Thanks a lot and I´ll be back soon.
