This company has awful customer…

This company has awful customer service, I dealt with Head of Corporate Partnerships & New Ventures, who was unprofessional and had a really bad attitude, especially when things went wrong. I personally would use a more well known company for future purchases. The fact that their response to my feedback is to lie and say I was rude and aggressive to staff is dishonest and shows the levels they will stoop too, rather than addressing the poor conduct within the organisation.

Found these guys via Amex.
Placed an order and was followed up by a lovely gentleman. He was super helpful in getting prescription lenses spot on. Lovely Cartier frames with great lenses.

***WARNING***

I made 2 purchases of sunglasses from this business and one was made through an offer promoted through American Express totalling £500. After payment was made, I received an email stating my order wouldn’t be dispatched for 2 weeks. I called up to question this and was advised the item wasn’t even in stock. I used a student discount code alongside the Amex offer, as there was no stipulations in the terms and conditions to say this wasn't permitted, the website also allowed me to use both promotions at the point of purchase. I then got an email from the Head of Corporate Partnerships & New Ventures, saying this wasn’t usually allowed but he would allow it on this occasion, as he would still make profit. He asked that I leave a TrustPilot review as part of the agreement. 5 mins later, I get an email notifying me my order had been cancelled. The Head of Corporate Partnerships & New Ventures then calls me saying that he decided to cancel both orders instead, which I told him was unprofessional, he then became sassy, rude, aggressive and confrontational before hanging up the phone. I would advise anyone to take caution before purchasing from this business, I’m assuming it must be family owned, because the Head of Corporate Partnerships & New Ventures was so comfortable being rude and the level of customer service was in the gutter. On reflection there prices aren't competitive, I have found the same item cheaper (without the promo code) by just doing a google search. I appreciate the customer is not always right, however, my claims can be supported by the numerous negative reviews, which all have a common thread of the rudeness from staff. In addition, just looking at the companies response to my feedback, this highlights the immaturity, unprofessionalism I had to deal with. Hopefully the person in question will reflect and amend the bizarre comments left to something more constructive, painting the business in a positive light.

Please note you placed two orders for the same item, initially just using one discount.

Subsequently you then opted to place another utilising two offers.

We do advise in our terms and conditions this is not permissible.

Please note our colleagues and team members have the right to be treated with courtesy and respect.

We fully appreciate feedback but it also needs to be factually correct.

Our colleague made a gesture of goodwill but he advised the finance team had cancelled and not himself. However rude and aggressive behaviour from customers will not be tolerated.

Delighted with new sunglasses - 100% recommend

Have been looking at a pair of Chanel sunglasses for ages, and I found them on the Maverick and Wolf website at a good price with free delivery. Order came very quickly, fully tracked (including warning of delivery day/time to be expected), and was exactly as described including with official paperwork. Absolutely delighted with my purchase and the service from start to finish - could not have been easier - thank you!

Appalling Customer Service Avoid!

I placed an online order which was never received although they kept my money for 3 weeks The “customer service”phone line was always busy & the emails never replied to. The attitude of the staff answering the phones was appalling, disinterested & rude & never followed up on what they said they would do. The whole experience was poor & I certainly wouldn’t attempt to buy from them again! Good Morning Denise & Bradley,

I am just following up after the complaint mad to myself over the phone earlier this week, I believe by Bradley.

To advise I have reviewed three of the recorded phone call and I can see where the issue has arisen.

Firstly apologies for any inconvenience caused and lack of customer service you felt you did not receive.

The individual has been spoken to and the calls played back to help improve going forward.

That said this initial confusion has arisen based on the fact no email details were added to the order.

Had this been the case email notifications and dispatch information would have been received and you would have been aware of the day the item left us with the DPD tracking.

Denise I believe as you did not have info, this drove the frustrated call, rightly so due to the high amount spent and time taken.

This has then led to you challenging if the items were even dispatched and wanting refund or delivery ASAP.

The staff member should have advised that firstly he needed to clarify what was happening with the parcel and the DPD would need at least 6 businesses day to resolve.

As you were advised when you spoke to a manager on the 14th of Nov the claim had been opened on the 10th and it would be 6 business day before DPD provide an outcome.

Unfortunately due to large numbers of people claiming parcels have not arrived as business we cannot simply refund until the claim process has been followed, however I fully understand the frustration on your part as you were having to chase and no communication was received.

Due to a move to a new system this year, the staff member was unaware of the order history, again remedial action has been put in place with the individual.

Whilst the team are fully aware that they have to be sympathetic and positive when dealing with customer issue I must add some of the frustration would have been avoided if we have had the correct contact information.

Finally I wanted to clarify, this actual order should never have been processed as I note that two offers were used in conjunction which is not permissible under our T&C’s.

The AMEX 20% Cashback offer was used along with a BMW Parklane code and the processing team should have cancelled this order as it takes us into loss making position.

I fully understand your sentiment of not wanting to shop with us in the future and once again apologies for your experience.

Very poor service!

Ordered a pair of sunglasses as I had an offer on American Express Platinum for 20% off. Made the purchase directly on their website and found that a third party had processed the transaction (despite providing me a Maverick and Wolf MW order number), and as such I was not eligible for the discount. I have tried to email them many times over the past 2 weeks and have had zero responses. Unbelievably poor service and I would never recommend this company to anyone.

As per our direct communication, we provided some context on the issues we were facing due to a large number of staff absences.
We also confirmed that the error was due to American Express incorrectly displaying our Parent Company on your statement.
We did advise we would have the matter escalated with AMEX and reassured you that the promotional 20% would be applied one way or another.
AMEX confirmed to ourselves that the matter would be resolved from their side.

Best find!

I was looking for the eyewear boutique in London since we moved here from New York four years ago. Finally just by chance I stopped by Maverick and Wolf store where I met charming, friendly help from Chris. For me to make decision is a journey but he made it trustfully and easy. Very happy with my new sun glasses. Now I have my type of place to go for the next prescription glasses.

Wonderful service and very friendly team. I was not completely happy with my glasses, but the team brought me in and corrected the situation. Many thanks to Niraj for all your help! I will 100% be coming here for my glasses in the future.

Fantastic experience!

I recently placed my first order with Maverick and Wolf, as the pair of sunglasses I wanted were not available at my regular online store. So I was a little nervous, but in hindsight I should not have been. Even though there was an issue with my order, my fault, they quickly contacted me to correct it, exceptional and friendly service. So I still received my order the next day and I am very pleased. I will definitely be ordering from them again.

I have bought a few pairs of sunnies from Maverick and Wolf over the years and I have always had great service from the team. My last order, a free weeks bac was delivered in 1-2 days and well packed. I recommend using them for your optical needs.
