Hideous company who let us down over a period of 18 months. Now taking matters to the press to make others aware.. Paid £1,000's for horrendous service. Approached company who deny any wrongdoing

My partner and I were referred to Master Private Finance by a local mortgage broker. Our financial situation was complex and we were looking to apply for a second charge on our property.

I worked with this company to get an extended loan on my property, it was a longer process than I expected and I felt like I wasn’t trusted at many points, particularly when they wanted to speak to my company to confirm that I actually worked there even though I provided payslips and my bank statements (and so much more). It may have been because I am a very senior person and working in cyber security for a global company they may have thought it wasn’t legitimate because of my age.

The customer service was good but the interrogation was shocking. Be prepared to provide every document you can think of from credit card and current account statements, they will want to speak with your employer, have a copy every bill you have and receipts of payment.

Overall we received the loan and the person we dealt with was pleasant but I would opt to work with a different company if I was ever in a situation like this again.

The loan was for home improvements.
