My name is Suhaira. I have had a very disappointing experience with Mashreq Bank’s customer care. For the past two months, I have been trying to reach their support team regarding issues with my card, but the system does not even recognize my card number or account number. Despite repeated attempts, I was unable to get through to a representative to resolve my concerns.
Compared to other banks, I find Mashreq’s service extremely poor, and I would not recommend their credit or debit card services. I usually avoid writing negative reviews, but in this case, I felt I had no other option.
Mashreq team — kindly do not commit to services or offers if you cannot deliver them. At the very least, customers should be able to reach your banking services, which unfortunately I was not able to do. This experience has left me very dissatisfied.

My experience with Mashreq Bank was very disappointing.
The service is extremely slow, and customer support is unhelpful and provides no clear solutions. Communication is difficult, and calls are often transferred without any results. Transactions are delayed, and the deducted fees are unclear. Overall, I do not recommend dealing with this bank 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

Charges & Poor Customer Support
I’ve been a Mashreq Bank customer and initially had a good experience. But recently, I faced unauthorized deductions from my account – one from Tabby (AED 1,399) and another labeled Smart Gov Payment (AED 600). That’s nearly 2,000 AED gone without my consent. I don’t even have a Tabby account, so how are these payments being approved using my card?
What’s more frustrating is the bank’s response. I contacted Mashreq immediately, and all I was told is that the investigation will take 120–180 days. That’s half a year just to find out where my money went? And there’s no guarantee of a refund?
As someone living on a budget, this is a huge amount — it could buy essentials and support my family in my home country. Yet the bank doesn’t treat it with urgency. No clear updates, no empathy, just “wait and see.”
My key concerns:
How did these transactions get approved without OTP or verification?
Why is Mashreq allowing third parties to charge accounts without confirming with the cardholder?
Why does a fraud investigation take 6 months?
This has shaken my trust in Mashreq Bank. I expected better security and better support.

Absolutely useless bank with false promises. I applied to open a business account on August 27, 2025, and to date, i.e., September 6, 2025, it's still under review. I raised it as a complaint, reminding the bank of their failure to meet the 72-hour promise on the 1st of September. I received a call from someone claiming to be investigating the delay and sharing his email address with me, which turned out to be a fake claim as well. He promised the complaint would be resolved in 24 hours. It's now the 6th of September, and none of the promises have been delivered. The complaint investigator seemed so uninterested and couldn't wait to end the call. I am unsure how this bank operates and whether it should be permitted to continue operating in this manner. Customers are offering this bank business, and in return, it is insulting the way they treat their customers with false claims and adverts.
Lo and Behold
After posting this review on September 8th 2025, my lodged, delayed, and ignored application was deleted entirely from the system. I just checked the status and after entering the details, it is saying no application found. How corrupt is this bank? Can someone advise on how to escalate this fraud and with whom, where a strict action is guaranteed?

I have been a Mashreq customer for over two years, but unfortunately, my experience has been consistently disappointing. The level of customer service is extremely poor.
Most recently, I have been trying to reach their support team for the past 20 days. Despite my repeated efforts, no one has returned my calls, and I have been unable to get through to a representative. This lack of responsiveness is unacceptable and reflects very poorly on the bank’s commitment to its customers.
Due to this ongoing issue, I do not recommend Mashreq to others. I sincerely hope the bank takes serious steps to improve its customer service

Iam one of the very senior loyal customer from last 40 years and lately I have seen that this bank's services are going from bad to worst. They want to make it digitilised and automated and they have closed almost all branches in Dubai. Their call centre is based in Bangalore where you have deal with staff who do not have any banking knowledge and waste your 20 to 30mins of time. If you go to any of their branch (limited nos) it is over crowded and you have to wait for 60 to 90mins to speak to their staff. I was offered easy cash by their sales person for 6 months and within 25days my full amount was taken away by the bank without my approval. I have registered complaint from last 5days and so far nothing has been done as they are still investigating the matter. Pathetic level of service as they don't bother to reply on your emails and we are left helpless as there is no governing body to question them for their lousy services.

One of the worlds worst bank ever I seen in my life. One month if we are getting salary of less than 5k in UAE. They mf are deducting more than 45 AED. Worst worst worst bank ever. If you'll borrow from someone any 30 40 they'll charge you 2 to 4 AED. And also Mashriq bank will take your 33 AED without any reason. If you guys have ethics face me. I'm challenging you. Or come in front and face me. You bloody hell. Worst ever worst bank and it's all over products.

customer service agents are less concerned about solving an issue. on 10th August 2025 ,6:13pm I deposited 4200d Atm SCU 1714 alguira mall, and it reflected on my account at the same time I deposited 500d, which didn't reflect on my account as i noticed the last digit was incorrect but before I deposited money inside the Atm displayed my names .alerted the customer service agent immediately ,and told me within 3days.untill now not yet solved.the agent told me that money is deposited on somes one account. It's not safe to deposit cash on machine if mashred can't resolve errors like that.

People usually tend to leave feedback only when they are upset or extremely pleased therefore the overall picture comes out quite biased. Today I had a great experience with Mashreq staff at the counter (a lady named Nada Darwish) who helped me solve my problem and dedicated her time and attention despite being busy with lots of requests, for which I am really thankful! Banks need more employees like her and I wish her a great career to bring this attitude to higher layers of the organisation!

Poor customer service at Muraqqabat deira branch. To settled your loan they don't have automatic process.they have manual process only.still they will close your account within 2-3 days.thay will take atleast 15 working days to give the clearance .only they will excuse it is under process.do not go to this bank for any service .they will kill you.very very bad process

Sales Teams Call Me, But Support Is Nowhere to Be Found
I spent over 1.5 hours trying to access support from Mashreq Bank due to a problem with their new facial recognition update in the mobile app. Meanwhile, the sales team seems to have no issue calling me every other day. Why is there a strong human presence in sales, but not in support?
Let me be clear:
The issue is not with my device, my identity, or my internet.
My phone recognizes me. My app is up to date. My password, email, and all credentials are working.
The issue is from the bank’s side: the app requests a new facial recognition scan, but it gets blocked or cancelled from within the bank’s system.
I was left with no proper way to resolve this - and the automated support bots are not equipped to understand this kind of issue.
I’m sharing this here in the hope that someone human at Mashreq will take this seriously. Technology updates are fine -but not when they block access and provide no support.
