BLOCKING their text messages

If you are being hounded by this outfit via their text messages without a text messege telephone number, you will probably have worked out, you can't blocked their text messages.

Well, you can. You need to phone your phone provider and get them to deactivate the premium number service on your phone. Only text messages without a number will be blocked

Absolute scum

Absolute scum. They don’t care about any mitigating circumstances and will not put on hold a case to let it go to appeal. Every time you talk to them they threaten you that the bill will increase. Try to avoid this “company” at all costs. Seems they have a way of effectively printing money as TFL pass their ULEZ PCNs to them for a massive mark up. £12.50 fee increased to £355 as we didn’t actually receive any correspondence. And now get a letter with the bill.

Very mean and inconsiderate company!!

Very mean and inconsiderate company. First of all they were very vague in providing me the contravention, so I assumed it was for the parking. But no, unfortunately it was for the few minutes I have stopped to secure my child in her seat.
I was in Stanstead airport, left the paid car park only to realise that my baby came out of her seat belt and was unsafe. I have stopped in what I thought was a safe place, after also looking around for any signs and there were NONE!! Secured my baby back in and drove off. Only to receive a penalty charge a week later at my home. Thanks a lot!! You are such a "nice" bunch!! I hope you are very proud of yourselves. I receive £102 child maintenance money per month, but I have to pay you £60 for the few minutes that I stopped to secure my child. I hope you are very proud of yourselves!!!

A group of absolute bullies.

Unfortunately can not rate them 0 stars. A bunch of absolute bullies who lie and try to intimidate you with absolute scare tactics. Being told they will take my goods even though the debt isn't mine, being told if it isn't paid then he will lose his job (hardly my problem), the list goes on. Somehow these scum are allowed to still operate with their lies.

Criminal

My experience with Marston's was short of criminal. I'd been fined for a car I never owned. I'd been taken to court without being told and fined and the fine was passed onto Marston to collect. Obviously I told them this had been a mistake and I hadn't owned the car for over three years. I sent my appeal of to court. The courts took so long to deal with my case because they couldn't find it. Marston's had instructed me of the wrong court that was dealing with it. While I'm trying to sort this matter out I'm also looking after my dying son (I'd informed them about this). While my son is lay dying beside me they are talking about locksmiths and taking my door off. I asked them to come to my home and I'd let them in and they could see for themselves I don't have any assets they could legally take anyway. But they insisted that they would be bringing a locksmith. I offered to pay them 200 pound and then the next month the final 200 pound they refused this. The began ringing me none stop and I asked them to please give me space as my son was literally in his last hours of life now, they replied saying they was adding an additional £250 onto my debt. I blocked their number so I could be in peace with my son while he was having his last rights read and being blessed, Marston's found me in social media and began bombarding me with threatening messages, telling me they are going to take my head off. I shut all my social media accounts down and rang citizens advice. It was upon this that I found out they could not harass me or remove my assets (had I had any) I was classed as a vulnerable adult with one vulnerable child with mental health issues and another child lay beside me dying so my case should have been sent back to court because based on the information they had we are a vulnerable household. I was livid. I unblocked this bailiff on messages and told him what I knew and to never contact me again and to leave me alone and I blocked him straight away. I never heard from them again My appeal has finally been given a date to be heard. The courts have recommended putting a formal complaint in about Marston, which I tried to do but the number I get told to ring is the number of the man I blocked. My son died and he died worrying whether this man was going to charge through my door or not, I can't even put into word my feelings towards Marstons, a few words spring to mind, but the most PG I can think is, heartless, lack empathy, no standard, horrible people. Can I remind you all my family suffered all this emotional stress over none insurance of a car I hadn't owned for three years, a simple computer error. They need to be made accountable and I am exploring my options

Incompetent and useless at recovering debt

I hired Marstons to recover a debt owed to me by a fire installation company in Coventry. They failed in every regard to recover my money and took so long to get their act together, that the company in question had time to relocate their showroom and rename their operation. If you’re looking for a decent debt recovery agency, AVOID THESE DIMWITS AT ALL COSTS. ABSOLUTELY USELESS.

Thieves!

They are thieves in a fake uniform! I paid a speeding fine way back in Feb 2022. I’ve just received a letter (July 2024!!!) claiming I still owe said speeding fine as it turns out the money I paid had been taken by these, despite these not dealing with it having never had any communication from these. What filth. And the government allow it to exist. Vile

Marston listened and restored our faith.

The woman that moved out of our house 4 years ago, did not change her vehicle registration details. 3 years later, she committed a traffic violation in Cardiff, we returned the letter and stated that she no longer lived here, 3 months later another fine came, spent hours on the phone going around in circles trying to explain that she didn’t live here. 3 months later a summons from Northampton County Court arrived, wrote to them, with an explanation from the DVLA. This Saturday evening got home and there was a letter from Marston Holdings saying that if we did not pay the fine in a week, an enforcement officer would call and remove items to the value of the fine. Lost sleep over the weekend. 9 am Monday morning, rang Marston Holdings, got the information to send proof online that we were the residents and 10 minutes later, had an email thanking us for the information and confirming that they would no longer pursue the debt at our address. Cardiff Council and Northampton County Court, could not be bothered to listen to us, shame on them. Well done Marston, for listening.

Had issues with council tax when I first moved in, debt was passed to Marston for a small amount. Been struggling immensely with bills and I’m only 24 being evicted as well yet the lady who chased me for the debt didn’t even care that i was suicidal! In response she said “will you be making a payment today” reporting to all necessary boards and pending investigation I will take this further. The way I was bullied and harassed was absolutely disgusting and I won’t let this go.

Awful on every level...

My experience is the same as all the other previous comments...
Awful customer service
Impossible to get hold of
Lack of knowledge and empathy
The low quality people that are employed by this company must have been found in the gutter.
I would rather * in my hands and clap than communicate with this business again.

Marston Holdings have to be the most…

Marston Holdings have to be the most useless & inconsiderate company on our planet .. Impossible to speak to anybody within their organisation or be able to make a complaint .. Gloucestershire County Council should cease immediately to use their services.. I suffer from a serious heart problem but what do Marstons care about human kind .. We are all just a number !! .. I wrote to Glos Council complaining about a parking ticket (with photo evidence etc).. Did I get a reply … the answer is NO !! .. I then received a rude & threatening letter(weirdly based in barnet !!) .. I would ,if possible, give Marstons a “minus 10” & certainly not a one * !! .. If there is anybody

I got a parking ticket from Telford and Wrekin council. Which due to PTSD and ADHD I forgot about it. I didn’t receive a summons to court, so it went to Marstons which I agreed a payment plan paid first one and missed second one but they didn’t even contact me to remind me. So today they turned up at my wife’s house now x cause of this demanding payment. I served 9 years for my country which resulted in me have PTSD. And to be treated the way they did is disgusting. I appreciate they have lots of people who try it on. But I believe they are happy for you to miss payment so they can earn over double. This needs to be stopped cause I am close to ending my life cause of this taking away everything that I loved

Disgusting customer service

Disgusting customer service, had a letter through the door yesterday for my daughter, stating road traffic, that was it, my daughter doesn't drive on her own as she hasn't passed her test and we have had no letters.
Called the bailiff on the number and she was nasty, I was very polite with her, but her attitude was very intimidating and she threaten to come back and force entry.....she wouldn't accept a payment plan, the bill is only 400 but I didn't gave it to pay, she told me I had until 5pm that day or she would be back, never dealt with such a nasty person

Anticipated problem …

My brother has been in contact with Marstons repeatedly asking to set up a payment scheme. He is happy to pay the dept but they have so far refused his offer. My brother has informed them of his medical history and current situation. Today he had a very threatening call which basically ended with the bailiff basically telling him he will be at his house in the next 24 hours to remove goods. As my brother explained this won't help as he has a house fire a few months ago and has nothing because the house was destroyed.
Well my brother will wait and see what happens tomorrow. I've read the reviews here and suggested gets his kids out the house and calls the police if need be.
So much for helping vulnerable people.
