Very unprofessional
Very unprofessional. The tester was late to our first meeting and blamed it on a scheduling error. It was a remote session and we were scrambling to figure out what was wrong. Not a great way to start. Communication was awful. No direct line to trouble shoot technical or scheduling issues or ask follow up questions. The emails were answered by different people and apparently no notes were made or read by the others. When we finally got the evaluation, they immediately went to suggesting a prescription medication. We eventually went to a different doctor and the results and treatment were completely different and involved no medication. Also, the school would not accept the results of her testing so it was an absolute waste of money and time. It was very stressful for us all. Remote option was nice and tester was kind.

Use online neurophysch tests with caution. It ended up being a waste of money in our case. An in person test was recommended after the online test was complete.

Terrible & unprofessional
My kid needed to have a follow-up assessment for school accommodations. We had him professionally tested in person years ago, and you pay for what you get, right? Half the price is just for them to write up a document stating what you already shared in the assessment they gave you prior. If I said my kid had some other learning diagnosis, they would have put that in their evaluation and results. My outtake with Dr.Jennifer Hammes was less than 10 minutes, and it started with her saying pretty much everything you already knew. Then, when I asked a question, she said, "Oh, I have already done four assessments, and Dr.Hammes did not even know how to answer my question(s). Dr.Hammes did not go over the assessment page by page as it should have been done and how it was presented in the past with other PhD therapists. I asked if she could provide any tools besides tutoring to help my son, and she said, I don't know. I will need to do some research. I am more upset that I got scammed $1,800 for a write-up the school needs to keep him in the program. If that is all you need, then sign up, but be warned, this is not a thorough assessment, nor will you get the answers you might need digging deeper into yourself or your kids' education. I highly recommend the first testing be with an actual therapist/counselor. It is more money, but it is so worth it.

Wouldn't recommend
After reading the results, I felt very depressed, and seriously questioned my self-worth, and whether I was a hindrance to the people in my life.
However, I would like to provide feedback on two areas.
Firstly, I was confused that the entire process was virtual. When I initially searched for a facility where I could be tested, I was specifically looking for a local facility that I could visit in person. Virtual sessions don't allow for any in-person interaction, which is a significant aspect of ADHD. I was expecting to go to a facility for the testing. The Marker Learning facility was the first company on the list for learning disabilities tests in my area. At no point during my conversations with the customer service representatives did anyone mention that the testing would be done entirely online.
The second bit of feedback is regarding my test on day two. During the syllable identification test, Dr. Herring's microphone was having issues identifying whether the sound she was making was a sound that should be transmitted or if it was background noise. When she repeated the syllable I was to leave out when repeating the word back to her, the microphone cut out. I thought maybe it was just a fluke and would sort itself out after a few times, so I asked her to repeat the sound. Her microphone cut out three separate times before I mentioned what was happening. She offhandedly mentioned that she could switch to a different microphone, then Dr.Herring got defensive and commented, "This is what we are here to test." and then never did switch to a different microphone. I fail to see how testing her microphone's capabilities is useful in testing my abilities unless we were testing how long it takes for me to become upset when I speak up about something beyond my control that is not performing as intended.
During the entire two-day testing I felt judged for my answers, and after reading my results I questioned if I got any of the answers right.
In conclusion, it was not an enjoyable way to spend my money.

Absolutely wonderful experience
Absolutely wonderful experience. I got more out of it than I could have imagined knowing where my son is at. I even want to take the test for me now. Amazing staff and the Dr Lisa Cox Gibbons is a gem! Kind, smart and got the job done!!!
This was a difficult experience for me…
This was a difficult experience for me being that I am of age and one may feel that these things should have been addressed as a child. That being said, I was made comfortable in an uncomfortable situation by the Doctor that I worked with. Even when I may have been difficult to work with. She remained calm which allowed me to relax, follow through, and complete my testing.
Can't say enough good things about Marker!
Can't say enough good things about Marker Learning! They took my inquiry seriously, they were professional, they were supportive, and the whole process went smoothly and quickly. I loved working with the therapist I was set up with. She was kind, empathetic, and made me feel comfortable during the whole testing process. I would recommend Marker Learning to anyone who has hit blockades in their journey to a learning disability journey.
Great idea, not-so-great outcome
I liked the initial idea that my child could be assessed for learning and behavioral issues. However, the assessment was choppy and assessment write-up left lots to be desired. They weighed most of their results on how my child rated themselves, and how I rated them. We are awaiting a debrief of the assessment but initially feeling that we are still at square 1 after paying 2k. I am feeling that I should have gone to an in-person doctor for assessment :(
After we have our debrief, I will adjust my rating if things change.

Not being able to select evaluator huge disadvantage…
Not being able to interview or choose the evaluator is a big reason why I would not recommend Marker for Psych. Ed. Evaluations. It would have been worth paying more to get a better evaluator. The process felt rushed and impersonal.

While going through my evaluation, I didn’t feel rushed. I felt heard and there was a good enough times to ask any questions. I am now going through tutoring and with tutoring, I’m starting to feel like I am understanding math way more than I’ve ever did!
