I've been learning from Marisa for the past six months or so, and I highly recommend her. In that time, she has been nothing short of amazing!

Marisa is incredibly experienced, kind, and patient, with a real talent for spotting what you need and explaining it in a way that clicks. She’s helped me figure out proper technique, fill in my theory “blank spots,” and approach the piano, and music in general, with confidence.

Marisa is also very flexible and funny, and makes every lesson something I genuinely look forward to. I always leave class feeling inspired, motivated, and like I’ve actually made progress. Very grateful to be learning from her!

Marisa is a fantastic teacher! One of the key points for me was recovering motivation for studying at home which was difficult when I did not quite know what to do to improve my playing. With Marisa, this is not a problem any more, as she explains exactly how to learn and how to approach the most difficult parts. I’ve been learning piano as an adult for about a year now, and working with her has been a genuinely positive experience. One of the best things about her is that she has this confidence in your abilities, even when you’re butchering a piece, and that somehow makes you believe in yourself too!

She’s sharp at noticing what’s not quite right, even the small things you hoped you were getting away with. But instead of just pointing it out, she’ll come up with targeted exercises to help fix it, and always explains things in a way that actually makes sense for you.

As an adult learner, I really appreciate that she respects what I want to take out of the lessons. She’s not overly rigid with method books or some fixed idea of how things “should” go. She adapts to what I like, where I’m at, and what motivates me—while still being demanding in terms of technique and musicality. It’s positive, flexible teaching, and it works perfectly for me.

She’s adaptable, patient, and knows how to work with your learning style, which is greatly appreciated when your brain decides to short-circuit mid-lesson. Plus, she’s funny, relaxed, and always in a good mood, so basically the opposite of the scary piano teacher stereotype.

I truly feel lucky to have randomly found her page on Instagram, and I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone, at any level, who wants to learn piano in a supportive, thoughtful, and inspiring environment.

Marisa Silva is an excellent pianist performer that easily plays any piece of music with rigorous accuracy. That is a notable and distinctive skill that helps students to understand and learn ways to perform as good as their capabilities. She is very talented, resilient and keeps the process of learning very efficient and interesting. Her teaching skills are also outstanding and is a privilege to be taught by her.
